Nice to wander down the Main Street with beautiful buildings and lots of shops. The old bridge is beautiful and the view from the other side is great

Old historic beautiful town. The area is very clean and the locals are very friendly. The buildings are typical German style and well maintained.

Although there are too many tourists and that includes us too, it was enjoyable walking around this quaint town square with its many restaurants and gift shops. Be sure to visit the student prison while there.

Loved walking around in Old Town. It's what I would think of when I think of old time Germany. Very beautiful city.

If you are in Heidelberg you should not miss Altstadt. It’s a lovely old town with plenty of stores, both stores with local specialties and stores with international brands. There is lots of sights.

Sunday mornings can be quiet in Old Towns, but businesses were open due to a triathlon. Made for many interesting subjects as we walked around town. Since we were from a river cruise boat, my gear was simply a DSLR with a zoom lens. That's...More

I am not sure. I was there on Easter day and it was closed, but people could walk on the terrace. The Germans respect the weekends and holidays... Unfortunately, the shops, for instance, do not show anywhere their opening... More
