About
This charming and scenic square in the bohemian Montmartre district looks straight off a Hollywood set, but it offers a glimpse of authentic Parisian life. Just steps away are hip eateries, cafes and boutiques—and the Abbesses Métro stop stands...more

I love Montmartre and I particularly love the energy around this place and the Abbesses metro station. It isn't very high up into Montmartre, but it's always lively and evocative. It's a good place to end you tour of the upper regions of Montmartre.

I'm one who usually opts for the stairs, and never the elevator...when it's reasonable. Beware that the stairs at this station are steep and go on forever. It is legitimately a chore to climb the winding stairs to the top. Fun if you're up for...More

This is a local spot with the deepest metro station in Paris. While ascending you can feel Montmatre vibes but not feeling forced or touristy. In December there is a small christmas market which enhances your experience.

One of the deepest Metro Stations in Paris leads up to the quaint Place des Abbesses where you will begin to experience the quintessential Montmartre vibe. It just struck me as typifying the architecture and soul of this wonderful arrondissement with plenty of cafes where...More

This beautiful Metro station entrance is a stunning example of Art Nouveau and one of only two “Belle Epoque” entrances designed by Hector Guimard that are still standing. (The Belle Époque was a period in the history of Paris between the years 1871 to 1914,...More

A place where many things happen over the course of each and every day. I stayed a few doors down in rue Yvonne which runs straight into Place Abbesses. Sunday it was a marketplace filled with Vintage, Antiques and everything you'd find at a small...More

This is my favorite part of Montmartre, a lovely square full of Parisians going about their business. Lots of good bars and cafes for a place to rest and drink. Food markets. A class Metro entrance. A little carousel.

Walked straight through this busy square and into the Jardin des Abbesses... a quiet interlude in this touristy spot

Leads to the underground subway. Leave yourself plenty of time as everyone seems to be in a hurry and know where they are headed. Not so much with me, though not speakingFrench did not hinder me any.

Hi, I didn't myself know that there were brocantes at Place des Abbesses. I am often there on Sundays and have never seen brocantes there. Maybe, you should check the tourism office of Montmartre: type montmartre-guide on... More
