I was not sure if I would enjoy Lapin Agile or not. I was expecting a night of traditional French song and that is what we got. I thought I would enjoy it but it completely exceeded my expectations. This is not a must see...More

In a city rich with history, Paris is also pretty modernized. This hidden gem is a great place to get that magic feeling you are looking for when visiting Paris.

Need reservations. Arrive a bit early to get a good table. Go to the bathroom before the performance starts. People are really packed in this small space. This is a cash only place. Second drinks are hard to come by. The place was sweltering and...More

I speak just enough French to safely order a glass of wine. The songs here are entirely in French and I understood almost nothing....but...you could FEEL the emotion from this talented group. This is not your typical "caberet" experience. There's no stage. The performers start...More

This place is in a rather nice area of the city where artists have worked for a real long time. The history of the place and the people who have been there is cooler than the place itself. I liked it.

I have read both bad and excellent comments on the place before visiting and my personal opinion is that’s just depends on who are on the scene. In our visit it was quite ok. There were lots of classic French well known sons, also “historic”...More

First... if you are looking to see a bunch of can can dancers this is the wrong show to see. That said, if you are looking for a truly authentic French Cabaret experience, this is it. It’s a very charming experience away from the hustle...More

There's a rich backlist of French romantic and nostalgic songs, of which Edith Piaf's music is perhaps best known outside France. And then there's a catalogue of jolly and sometimes rowdy music hall and drinking songs. The crew of about 7 or 8 singers, pianists...More

As a regular visitor to Montmartre, we had to go here. It had been going for 160 years and they have tried to keep it as authentic as possible. With only 30 people present, we watched and listened to the singers/ musicians perform together and...More

Oh yes. Wait until a good moment, preferably as the singers are changing positions or exiting or coming into the room. You will all be entering and leaving by the same entry way.

French families come often in mixed generations including toddlers to sing along and be immersed in French singing tradition. Non French speaking families come experience it sometimes.
