The Museé Delacroix is in the building where the artist had his studio. It is in a charming neighborhood with interesting shops. But the museum has few Delacroix paintings, and not very good ones at that. It was mildly interesting to see his studio and...More

We thank you for your visit, even though we are sorry that it did not meet your expectations. Do not hesitate to give the museum a second chance and come back to visit the next temporary exhibition.

This museum is housed in Delacroix' former home, and contains some of his paintings and furniture and art that he collected. Behind the house is his studio, and there is also a pretty courtyard garden where you can sit (and people were sketching). There are...More

A tiny museum (just one small floor) and his atelier (studio) there are not many of his works on display, and those that are do not represent his best work. Explanations are OK. A slow visit takes 30 minutes. The garden is small, but pretty....More

It's really just his studio space, renovated for modern times, not a huge museum. Some small but interesting paintings and sculpture, complimented with the work of other artists. OK if you have a museum pass.

Our Louvre tickets said free access to this museum within two days so we thought we would give it a look. First, it isn't very easy to find. Not a lot of signs. We walked past it the first time. Second, there were only about...More

Didn't really understand the point of the exhibit. Hardly any of his artwork on display. Nice location, nice to see his studio, quiet oasis in the city, but overall a bit disappointing.

If you love Delacroix it's a key place to see. Includes his studio and garden. This was our second time, and we were interested to see the present special exhibit which is by art students who are describing and delving into Delacroix as a person,...More

The side street where you enter the museum from a small square is easy enough to find, and abundantly large signs have been provided to lead visitors into a gateway that by Parisian standards is uncharacteristically modest. You enter a courtyard, go to the door,...More

I like “discovering” the lesser known small museums. 7 euro to get in, no lines, polite and welcoming staff. Great way to spend 1 hour or maybe 2 if you want to study each piece. The house itself is a beautiful work of art where...More

There is really not much to see here, but it’s a chance to see how a fairly prosperous painter lived and worked. Any artist would appreciate the studio with tall windows and skylight, with a lovely private garden below. It’s a good place to stop...More
