Local photographic society outing which started out at St Canices Cathedral. Plenty of opportunities to take great images, inside and out. Great view from the top of the round tower.

Unfortunately I decided to follow the sat nav on my phone which took me an extremely long way round so I was hot and tired when I got there . This being the case I didn't really have the energy to climb the tower but...More

We dropped by at 10 am, hoping to avoid any lines at the Round Tower, and were one of the first visitors allowed to climb up. There’s a steel ladder to climb outside, and 6 wooden ladders plus one small stone ladder inside. It’s a...More

We did not climb the tower but we did do the self-guided tour of the church. The tour guide is a big help for identifying the important historical parts of the church. I highly recommend a visit.

Unfortunately we had an extremely quick visit to this Cathedral. We were waiting for a tour at Smithwick's so we walked towards the Cathedral to get a quick look. Although we were only able to view the outside it was still worth the visit. I...More
