This was the first time that I had done the Smithwick's brewery tour and while I found it very interesting from a history standpoint I was a bit disappointed that this was not a tour of a full working brewery. 25 Years ago I had...More

My husband and I really enjoyed the somewhat cheesy but informative tour and tasting experience at Smithwick's. It was worth it to pay a few Euros extra for the flight and get to try their Pale Ale and Blonde, which are super hard to find...More

Very informative and entertaining. A very knowledgeable guide. At the end you can get a paddle of taster beer (4 beers) plus 1 full beer for 3 pound. Definitely recommend.

This was an interactive and entertaining brewery tour! It blew the Guinness tour out of the water. (I don't feel guilty saying that because Guinness owns Smithwick's) But it truly did! It was personal, funny, interactive and simply just BETTER.More

The tour was really informative, and just long enough to make you excited for your pint at the end. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Smithwicks and Kilkenny. Definitely worth a visit when in the town.

Disclaimer-- I always liked red ale, and now I love this beer! The Smithwick's tour was well done and interesting. With Harry Potter-type holograms, the introduction is done with talking pictures. The environment of brewing beer is simulated, even though they don't brew at this...More

No visit to this historic city would be complete without a visit and tour of the World famous brewery. The young guide was full of humour and information which he shared liberally. The beer tasting at the end of the tour is a must🍻
