The booked tour was well worth it! The group was not too large and the explanations were informative and clear. Make sure you allow enough time after the guided tour to explore the museum independently. This was definitely an added bonus to the tour.

I did a few years ago but returned again with visitors this September and learned so much more this time. This is genuinely one of the most informative tours in Dublin. A must even for Irish teens studying history:

Lived every minute of it. The tour was great. The chapel where plunkett was married. The yard where they were executed. Amazing history

Buy your tickets on line or get there early as it books out. Dave was a very knowledgable guide. Some incredible stories told about some very difficult times. A must do.

By all means, take this tour. You'll learn a lot about Dublin's history and Ireland's struggles during British rule. It wasn't pretty.

Was struck by the history of this place. You can't go here without coming away with feelings about the Irish struggles.
