Decided to do the tour of Trinity College. It was very easy to book tickets - you just had to walk up to the little desk near the entrance and could easily get tickets for any time slot.

It is amazing to be able to see a manuscript that had been created in 800AD. Crowds, of course, are huge and you will likely not get a chance to look closely or carefully at the book, but still do see it.

Student led tour includes Book of Kells and library... but they are located right at the main entrance (through the arch) so just ask them. They may be amenable to it. It really was fun and educational. We loved it.
