Stunning views from the top all the way over to the Black isle, Walk around from the town centre and use that path up to the castle as it is easier

As this castle is used as the courthouse, you cannot tour it. However, you can go up to the roof to see the city from the lookout. Slight fee, but includes a historic tour. Beautiful views overlooking the entire city.

This is the true start and end point of the NC500. It’s an interesting red sandstone building prominently situated above the city and the River Ness. You can’t drive in with your car which is a shame as it means you can’t actually start or...More

This castle is a great one to visit because you can climb up in the tower right to the top which is open to the sky. You can get a 360 degree view of so many landmarks in Inverness.

The castle has some spectacular views from the turret and the stairs to get there are not to steep, which was ok for my bad back. There is some very good info for adults and kids as you go up each level.

Looks impressive both in the day and at night. For a five pound charge, you can climb the tower which has an observation area. The stairs would not be very difficult for most people. There are continuing loop videos as well to provide historical context....More
