Saturday at Portobello Rd., is as quintessentially a London experience as Harrods or Buckingham Palace. I love it. Notting Hill Gate Tube, then follow the signs down a couple of streets. Crowded and busy but the opportunity to see things you might never see anywhere...More

This famous flea market is great fun to visit for not so great silver plate stuff and other antique goods of an inexpensive sort. Get there early though or the crowds are overwhelming.

We went on market day and it was nice to see quirky stalls that we didn’t see in places like Camden or Covent Garden. Our highlight was the candles by Monica Eter.

Don't worry if the market is not on. Portobello road is worth the visit any day. A long strip of interesting and eclectic shops and eateries. Wonderful unique clothing shops, nostalgia collectables and everything in between. So worth a visit

An easy bus ride from the central city, the Portobello Market features food, fashion, and interesting souvenirs or gifts. I perused the stalls and wandered the streets enjoying the colorful facades of the buildings. Fun shops to pop in to include Spice (chock-a-block with every...More

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

I was there last Saturday about 8pm and the market was not going. Street was empty. Shops closed. Only a few restaurants open on Kensington Park Road and Blenheim Circle.
