Hyde Park Corner may once have been the junction of Grosvenor Gardens and Kensington Road. The restored Lanesborough Hotel sits almost opposite Apsley House, the Duke of Wellington’s residence which is open to the public and where one of the first of many artefacts on...More

A patch of greenery separating St James’s Park (and Buckingham Palace) and Hyde Park. Leading from Buckingham Palace, travel along Constitution Hill and you will come to Hyde Park Corner. There are many monuments in here but there are, in particular, several dedicated to the...More

Statues and great buildings mark an entrance to Hyde Park. Lots of people soaking up the location. Well worth the stop

Closely associated with the "Iron Duke" (Wellington of Waterloo etc fame), Wellesley was evidently domiciled nearby and feted in several monuments & statues.

I think every visitor to London probably passes by Hyde Park Corner, but may miss it. Very near the wealthy Mayfair district, I just stumbled across it whilst out walking one evening looking for somewhere to eat. Great light display of a younger queen close...More

Every visitor to London MUST pass through it, on foot, by bus, by car or any other means. It is unmissable, not because of its splendour - there are lots of more attractive places in London and in most other cities around the world -...More

Not sure why this is listed as an attraction by TA. Hyde Park Corner is a small part of the very wealthy area of Hyde Park. There's an underground station here which is next to Hyde Park (the actual park) where there's also many war...More
