It's a 65 foot water fall, and it takes about 20 mins to amble up to it from the car park. Lower platform is good for a few pix and theres good views around. Bit pricey to park at £5 though. Small shop selling ice...More

We were very keen to visit Aira Force as we hadn't visited the Ullswater area of the Lake Distict before. However we were very surprised that the National Trust charged £5.00 for a car park for a walk to a waterfall, no matter how pretty....More

Our second visit, but many years from the first. The waterfalls were near their best due to the recent rain prior to our visit. Believe the total distance is around 2 miles and does include steps, tree roots and boulders to contend with throughout the...More

Beautiful waterfall. Not long of a Walk. Hardly 10 minutes from the car Park. But little bit steep stairs here and there with patchy path but nothing too difficult. Ideally a buggy or push chair should be avoided as floor would be uneven and water...More

The tumbling stream and several waterfalls (Called forces) are worth seeing. It takes about an hour to walk round and you can park in the National Trust car park by Lake Ullswater.

Visiting Aira Force following a heavy spell of rain meant we were treated to the awesome spectacle of the falls thundering down the ravine. A breathtaking experience.

If you are in the area then a walk up to this iconic waterfall should be on your must do list. National trust car park which are free if you are a member. Walking boots or sturdy trainers needed.

Visited Aira Force when we walked up Gowbarrow at the weekend. Nice area to visit and the staff at the shop by the car park were really helpful when we asked the best way to walk up Gowbarrow. Car park costs around £3 for 2...More

With being National Trust they have tried to be inclusive. However this is an area where wheel chair access is limited due to terrain etc. However still worthy of a visit.
