Enjoyed good coffee and ginger cake served by a lovely lady. Cosy wood burner and wonderful views over the lake. Indoor and outdoor seating. Boats to hire, there was a few fishermen on the lake. Good to visit.
Happened to see this place while passing. Stunning view of the lake on a crystal clear day. Not a ripple. Stopped for an awesomely fresh bacon ciabatta and coffee. Wonderfully quiet, even in August. People going out on electric boats to explore the lake.
Esthwaite Water had been recommended to us by a fisherman that often hires a boat there for a few hours and, although we do not fish ourselves we thought a boat trip to look at the ospreys would be a great experience.
