Couldn't travel all the way south and not visit the cliffs. Easy to find and plenty of walks although the paths were not as good as we were lead to believe- not gravel but mud which stuck to everything! This spolit it slightly but couldn't...More

Easy to get to and has good parking. The walk out to the lighthouse gives excellent views of the cliffs. The walk, however, was spoiled by the state of the footpaths. They were muddy and slippery. The cafe at the lighthouse has excellent cakes and...More

Tea in the tea room followed an interesting but scary walk along the cliff top. The workings of the port are fascinating and worthy of much longer than we had the time for.

I went as part of a tour so they only gave us a half hour (!) which was barely enough time to walk to the cliffs to take a picture. There were well-maintained hiking trails along the coast and I so wish we could have...More

It was misty and rainy when we visited so we can't see much. Pretty sure it looks better on a bright day. It doesn't look that white from up close either.

If you want to experience the greatness of our isolation , come stand on the cliffs and look at the great barrier that has protected us, fed us and been our playground for centuries. So many activities, castles lighthouses and beaches to investigate but above...More

If we had come for the day, parked up and walked then perhaps the £5 to park would have been worth it. We wanted a quick 20 minute or so stop and as there is no concession for short stay parking, we chose not to...More

Lovely hike along the cliffs. Easy walk to lighthouse. Cliffs are a natural site to be seen. Enjoyed grazing horses along the way.

It was a wet and windy day when we visited, we paid our £5.00 to park up and walked just a little up the path to get a birdseye view of the port. Stunning views even on a not so great day, weather wise. If...More

During our walk at Harbor Beach we took the oppertunity to look around and enjoy the scenery. The most impresive view was the White Clifs. A must to do when you get a chance.

Hi AJMF! Absolutely you can hire a taxi- but for your day trip to Dover, make the short hike from the Ferry area to the top of the cliffs! The hike up is not too strenuous and it’s beautiful! That’s also where you run... More
