Emerald Cave on Koh Muk is absolutely worth the trip. But here's how you do it (I was staying on Koh Lanta) DON'T book with a major tour operator. There are a ton of operators touting the 4 Island Tour. If you're looking at pictures...More

Swim through the cave to a little beach surrounded by high limestone cliffs. Lush rainforest includes tall trees, vines and colourful butterflies. My visit was part of 4 Islands day trip with Green Group on Hybrid Express Boat. A lovely day out.

The cave and beach are really beautiful and it is definitely worth going there. If you stay on the island you can kayak there and have the inside beach to yourself. That would make for a better experience than going on a group tour.

This is a beautiful place. You have to swim in darkness for a while, that's fun. So you come from darkness and the light emerges when you enter the cave.

Emerald Cave, Amazing Beauty. Will not be able to ride the boat into the Emerald Cave. Have to park the boat in front of the cave, then have to cling around Go inside. Inside is surrounded by him like standing in a box. The highlight...More

I personally would not have gone on this trip if I could not swim. The time we went the sea was very rough. We were not guided by a rope - we had to swim. I am an experienced swimmer and found this a challenge.

I recommend you hire a private boat and tell them to take you there during less busy time, we did that. Pay a little more but it will all be worth it. We got there when the big groups were leaving, so there were about seven... More
