Portugal and its charms, the Minho is beautiful and everything that surrounds the Peneda-Gerês National Park is wonderful and magical. Pure nature, this and other waterfalls not to be missed.

This waterfall has two access trails. One (on the left) leads to the downstream, the other (one the right) is quite perilous but allows you to bathe on the upperside of the waterfall.

Lovely place to relax when it's too hot to do anything else. Could do with some better markings on where best to climb down.

While in Geres this had still a lot of water despite all the others having dried out. Beautiful to visit and take a dip since the watter is never too cold despite being always flowing. ATTENTION: Access is difficult and the rocks are very very...More

Geres is absolutely stunning and is a must to visit. Our last stop was the waterfalls and we went to the smaller one out of the two as the bigger one was too dry. It was very nice to swim in the natural lagoons BUT...More

This waterfall is of course, beautiful but wanted to warn people who visit to be VERY careful. We just saw a young guy slip and fall down this waterfall. He was very badly hurt. Also, one of our party and another woman slipped on the...More

A very nice series of falls with pools you can splash about in. The drive to get here was very pleasant and tpokus through a small village that we later stopped in for a beer and ice cream. One down side (which you get at...More

A shampoo brand called Tahiti shot a commercial film here, so I guess this must be the most tropical waterfall in Portugal.

Beautiful place to go near Gerês. The access is not easy so prepare yourself to be very cautious during the descend. The rest is just amazing: very cold water and close to the nature. Can be over-crowded during weekend and in August and that's a...More
