About
Balneario El Escambron is a little beach, just to the east of Old San Juan. It is a family-friendly beach, with a small crescent of clean sand and usually calm waters, thanks to the coral reef a short distance from the beach.

Visited this beach on a weekday and was pleased with the setting. There are restrooms, on site parking, and calm waters. $5 parking in a lot right next to beach. It’s a nice family friendly beach where you could relax as your child plays in the water since there are no waves.
