I love visiting markets on holiday and am used to bartering if needed and being persuaded to buy from sellers, however the sellers here were very pushy and rude when you declined their offer of gifts that you had to pay for. We were with...More
The craft market in ocho Rios is nice to look around, but be prepared to be hounded by the locals. There have a saying that it doesn't pay to look. But when you do go and look, it's like their are pressuring you to buy...More
An authentic market with spices and local produce and fruits. Also clothes and interesting items. An amazing place to be off the beaten path. Recommend for sure. This is where the locals shop. Tourists stand out but the vendors are welcoming and don’t harass shoppers...More
My twin son wanted to buy a Bob Maley backpack so we dropped by here. At the entrance of this place, there was a shop for curved wooden artworks and Caribbean painting and souvenirs. He was very friendly. My son bought a nice backpack. He...More
During our time in Ocho Rios we spent a bit of time at the market.
Good to mix with the locals and see locally made products.
Some were a little bit pushy but most were just nice and friendly.
My wife bought a nice local...More

A lot of the reviews are correct - these folks are aggressive when it comes to getting your money for the wares the offer. For me, I did't mind a bit. I took my wife and son through this and while at first they were...More

We found only one while we ere there. It is a good sized craft market. I believe it is called the Ocho Rios craft market and if you search for it say on Google, they do use an address but we found it rather easily. From the main road coming from St Ann's turn left onto Main Street and the market is about half mile on left. I would recommend parking in the parking lot next to the market and enter the market from the parking lot entrance instead of the road side entrance. Look for Mr. Calvin, the sandman, and the folks around his booth sere excellent.
