The exit glacier is visible while driving on the roads, but the view after the hike is really far more beautiful. There are a few trail options and you can choose depending on the time you wish to spend. We drove to the glacier in...More

A short distance from Seward is the trailhead for Exit Glacier. There are visible signs providing good directions. There is a parking lot and a small ranger station/visitor center at the trailhead. The hike is relatively easy with slight elevation gain. There are signs along...More

Nothing prepares you for this walk in any way as you approach it. Yes the glacier looks great as you drive up to the car-park and do the short (flat) loop walk to the view points near the car-park. But: - the full walk is...More

This is a nice easy trail and close access to a glacier. The marking points showing glacial locations at different years is neat and shows the huge change very easily. Nice place to visit to have a nice day with beautiful views of a glacier

We were disappointed that the visitor center was already closed for the season, but the walk up to the second view point (not the eight mile hike to the third view point) was enjoyable and the views were worth it. I cannot believe how fast...More

This was a great experience. The hike isn't too bad but it can be a little strenuous at times. Walking on the glacier was unbelievable! The guides were knowledgeable but a little lacking in personality, however not enough to take away from the experience. A...More

The trail to the glacier through the park was not too difficult, but there were places where it could have been made easier. Its sad to see the markers where the toe of the glacier had been years ago, its a sad but awesome feeling....More

Exit Glacier is well worth the visit! It is a fun hike with great views of the forest, trees, fauna, and streams. The hike is relatively moderate. The glacier itself is beautiful especially the blue hues.

I enjoyed hiking at Exit Glacier. It was fun to walk up the trails to Exit Glacier. I enjoyed seeing the trees and streams and the rocky outcrops on the way to Exit Glacier.

No need to make arrangements. First come, first serve. We had about 15 in our group. Would highly recommend the ranger tour if you want to learn about the history of the glacier and the ice field. Ranger Ann, a retired... More

I was last week. I have parked on the lot near the visitor Center. The trail was in good condition and free from ice or snow.
