Absolutelly gorgeous place, beautiful breathtaking views and incredibly blue waters. It looks like it's not in the UK. You feel like in sunny Portugal.

Durdle Door is a better sight to see in person. The pictures you see online just don't do it justice, which is saying a lot. The car park is very organized and reasonably priced while the scenery is breathtaking.

I remember Lulworth Cove from school Geography Coastal Scenery lessons; all that stuff about Purbeck and Wealden beds and arches, stacks and blowholes - that was 60 years ago - and finally I have got round to visiting. Both my sons came on school field...More

We parked at the combined car park and walked to a viewing point above Stair Hole. It was a breezy day and very invigorating, then we dropped down to Lulworth Cove and walked along the beach for a while. Taking the road up into West...More

A day trip from home with a short drive. Coastline is vast and breathtaking. The beach at Durdle is small stone and pebbles so take some good footwear rather than flip flops . The weather has a lot to do with the conditions and have...More

Thank you for your informative report. You are correct that sturdy footwear and a reasonable level of fitness are required for the walk down to Durdle Door.

Love it here! Parking isn't cheap, but ticket can be used both at Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door's car park. Gorgeous views. Ice cream from the shop opposite the gift shop is lovely too - chocolate brownie flavour is highly recommended!

Amazing place, Britian's natural beauty at it's best. Car park is pay and display, a little pricey but to be expected. Card pay by card with a check/check out feature so need to rush. Durdle Door is not for the weak, rocky/dirt footpath down the...More

Thanks for your report, I am glad you enjoyed your visit. It is, perhaps, worth pointing out for readers that one car parking ticket is valid at both car parks mentioned.

Just be careful as if it is a very hot sunny day at Durdle you may not get into the car park.
