A historic bridge at the beginning of every road. The highway that passes up was build when the last Tokyo Olympics were held. An interesting sight that can only be seen now. I'm really looking forward to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics! すべての道路の始まりにある歴史的な橋。 過ぎ去る高速道路は、最後の東京オリンピックが開催されたときに建設されました。 今しか見られない面白い光景。 2020年の東京オリンピックを本当に楽しみにしています!

A beautiful bridge located in the Nihonbashi area near the KM 0 marking in Tokyo. It has beautiful ornaments and lamps. Still bright even when it's already evening.

The Nihombashi Bridge was originally built in 1603 when the shogunate was established in Edo and was designated as the origin point of the five national roads administered by the shogunate. The current 1911-vintage granite bridge is still the point from which distances to Tokyo...More

The bridge is a very short walk from Nihombashi station. It was strange to see the expressway snaking above us, following the Sumida River, which was crossed by Nihonbashi Bridge. The bridge is the historical point from which all distances in Japan are measured. There was...More

I think everyone sees this bridge and although a historically significant bridge it has been dwarfed by modern Tokyo. Covered by an overpass of a highway! Signifigant because this is said to be the point from which all of the postal trails emanated out throughout...More

This bridge has a long history and is by itself gorgeous with carvings and statues. However, the stark juxtaposition of old and new doesn’t sit particularly well together!

It’s just a bridge, but is the central point from where distances are measured in Tokyo. It lies underneath a motorway/freeway, so not a clear view of the sky from it. As a bridge, it is faultless!

An old canal bridge well maintained amid modern Tokyo. The surrounding areas are full of high rise modern commercial buildings and shopping malls. There is nothing spectacular about this bridge; the architecture is old fashioned but not really beautiful, but it certainly has a lot...More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
