When we were there, the workers were not producing salt anymore. Up to the end of September (from April) the salt is produced weekly. Dating back to the beginning of time! Don't expect an info-center, hotdog stands and carnival howdie-doodie. We went tot a shop a little higher

Great walk along the salt pans which border the sea. Locals out fishing, waves crashing, sea breeze ... one of the salt 'farmers' was around and let us in his salt 'cave' to see his stock and taste it!
