Despite its great location, Dambetenne does very little to attract tourists. Though the history behind the factory is great (founded by sir Lipton in 1890) the tour itself isn’t worth it. They charge you 250 rupees per person for an expeditive tour that lasted 10...More

First nothing going on, no tours, no processing. And if there was there is 250$ charge. Other factory tours are free. Tough driving up narrow road, limited parking, etc. But the best spot to get a tuk tuk to lipton seat

Great place to stop on your way back from Liptons Seat before catching the bus/tuktuk back to Haputale. The tour is very informative and only lasts 15-20 mins but was well worth it

We really enjoyed our visit and learnt how tea is made - fascinating. I don't think I will look at a cup of tea in the same way again. We learnt about the different teas and how to make a perfect cup. We didn't feel...More

We were on our way down the mountain and our driver suggested we stop in and have a look - it costs 250 LKR and 20 LKR if you want to use the toilets. This was a very basic tour not like some of the...More

If you want to see the whole Factory working go there early in the morning. We were two and we didn't need any approval to visit.
