We went on a Monday and there were only about one third of the stalls open, mainly meat. I don’t know whether it’s on it’s way out or just a bad day.

This marketplace is amazing, the fish, meat, cheese, bakery and fruit, vegetables are so fresh and healthy. The prices are not very expensive.

We enjoy a market in Spain, and wish there was places this good at home. The fish is super fresh and the little tapas places do a roaring trade. Well worth a visit if you’re in Alicante.

Great place, we tasted lots of great tapas, olive oils, vermuth, vegetables and so on... not many sellers speak English, best to speak Spanish (it's sometimes also cheaper).

Good variety of fruits, vegetables, seafood and different things to eat. I only went for the fresh fruits and was not disappointed. Note that the Mercado closes at around 2 PM and that it can also be quite crowded.

Really easy. It's a 5 minute walk on one road heading towards past the Praça Lucerne. Or a taxi ride. No Uber in Alicante. Very simple. Very close.
