Great Nature, lunch and Sam's knife skills
We participated to this kayak tour as a family of four. It was a great day. The weather was beautiful and we even saw some wild seals. We enjoyed with gourmet lunch and the nature of Palm Beach. We were amazed by knife skills of Sam (tour guide). He skillfully cut up the chicken for lunch. My wife, two sons and of course myself are very happy. Thank you Sam for organising everything.

Our morning kayaking the Pittwater was enjoyable. Our guide Sam was excellent. He expertly taught everyone to handle the kayaks, and we were quickly on the water. We got to see seals on the rocks, then crossed over to a quiet beach for lunch. Highly recommended, even for experienced kayakers.

      Beautiful & Serene
The paddle from McCarrs to Lovett Bay was beautiful & serene. A gorgeous day in unspoiled Pittwater . Inspiring walk up the bush track , across the creek & out to sit at the top of the waterfall for lunch & stunning views.

      Great day for the family
Sydney turned on the weather and it was a superb day for me and my two boys 14 and 12. Seeing the seals in the wild was awesome. Sam was a great guide and really good with the boys. Highly recommend it.

      Kayaking with Seals and SAM!
Sam was a fantastic guide, we were even luckier that we had him all to ourselves! This allowed us to choose how long we stayed with the seals, going back again for further time with the seals. We gleaned a lot of information from Sam and this was gratefully received. The lunch was so much more than we expected, having a hot roast chicken on the beach was fabulous! We would recommend this to anyone, whether you have kayaked before or not, Sam always checks to see if you are comfortable and willing to do more or less paddling, we did more and thoroughly enjoyed the day!

      Best paddle ever!
Iconic views of Sydney’s Pittwater combined with serene bushland, waterfalls and a gourmet lunch, this paddle is not to be missed! Starting from McGarr’s Creek, the paddle across to Lovatt Bay suits most fitness levels and offers a chance to explore one of Sydney’s most beautiful waterways and experience the serenity of the bush under the capable eye of Sydney Kayak’s expert guide, Sam. We paddled past pristine bushland and the offshore communities that ring Pittwater to arrive at Lovatt Bay, beached our kayaks on the sand and took a short bushwalk up the hill ( an easy climb) to see the most spectacular rock platform, complete with waterfall and pools, and truly amazing views. Sam prepared and served a delicious lunch with choices to suit all tastes. A little time to relax and contemplate the natural beauty of the area and then, reluctantly, time to walk back down to the beach for the return paddle – an all round wonderful day! Put this on your ‘must do’ list !

What a great day! Thanks to the Team Sam and our guide Warren for making such a memorable experience for my wife's birthday. A great tour, plenty of time at sea and a rewarding nature walk and waterfall bath with a view and picnic lunch to remember. Highly recommended.

      Outdoor fun
My wife and I took a harbour kayak with Sam. He was very experienced, and the kayaking itself is not too challenging. The tour goes to some out of the way spots that you wouldn't see if you stayed on land. We had a lovely time.

      Unhappy paddler.
To be honest I think the equipment needs to be updated as it appeared to be be old and worn, my life jacket was so stiff that I couldn't do the zip up myself. Lunch was very average and the word 'gourmet' should be removed as it was NOT. Would I pay this much money again for this experience? No.

      Lovely trip!
We had a great lunch kayak with Sam and got to see some beautiful spots in Sydney that we wouldn’t have typically visited. The lunch was also a lovely picnic at Shark Island! Thanks for a great day Sam, I would highly recommend :)

Great day! Sam was very knowledgeable about the area and kayaking, we had a great lunch on a beautiful beach before seeing more of the sites on the water. I would highly recommend it.

First of all, thank you Sam for a wonderful experience. I took the Harbour Bridge Breakfast Paddle with Sydney kayak in April during the long Easter break. I was accompanied by my wife and my son of 13 years. We managed to reach on time to get ourselves set on the Kayak with some light kayak lessons from Sam. Though it was not our first experience kayaking, it was still a different an experience with Majestic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House at our backdrop. The weather was beautiful and the waves were gentle. 5 kayaks side by side all twin seaters gently moved towards the neutral bay. Sam guided us safely between those passing Ferries and yachts and we took turns leading the way. It was fun racing against other kayaks in our group, sometimes gently crashing on other kayaks as well. Sam also gave good commentary about the places where we crossed the Harbor Bridge, War Museum, Submarine station, Governors House, PM’s residence, etc. Within an hour, we reached Neutral bay beach, a calm backyard. We had our breakfast at a coffee shop down the street. It was a nice cozy place and the breakfast options were good. Me being a vegetarian, had Avocado Benedict and Café Latte. The staff was friendly and seemed like Sam is a regular customer there. When we returned we also enjoyed light rain, which added to the fun of Kayaking. It was a time well spent with family. I would definitely go back and do more kayaking tours with Sam. Thanks

We had a fantastic time doing the breakfast paddle with Sam! The views were amazing and a really special way to see the harbour bridge and opera house. Sam made us feel really comfortable and confident on the water and made us laugh a lot. The breakfast was great with lots of choice - I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try this experience.

It was surely a great experience having a morning paddle ride on the Sydney Harbour.
For those who have a packed schedule in visiting the sites around the city, this can definitely give you a quick but comprehensive look on all the iconic places such as the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, at one time.
Sam is nice and he managed the whole trip perfectly. I do recommend this to be one of your must-do activity in Sydney.

I’m sure it would have been fantastic, had the operator turned up. Whilst waiting for our tour guide, we were politely informed by a returning instructor that this event leader doesn’t turn up “quite regularly”. We were however given a full refund and half price upon rebooking. But we were out of time in the city and couldn’t take that offer.

We are very sorry we completely messed this up and indeed we were not there for this paddle. Contrary to what the opposition claimed we do not fail to turn up. If we did there would be more reviews like this one. Once again, totally our mix up. Sorry we disappointed you.

As avid kayakers we always try to book a kayaking experience on every holiday. We found Sydney Kayak on a quick web search and read outstanding reviews. We found the Breakfast Paddle and was sold immediately upon see the menu at Thelma and Louise cafe.

Our guide, Sam, was funny and very charming. He set a good pace and kept us on time, to the minute. The views of the harbour were spectacular.

Breakfast at Thelma and Louise was to die for! Our table was ready when we arrived and the servers were so friendly and attentive. I got the salmon Benedict and it was divine. Breakfast was a great opportunity to chit chat and get to know our guide and other paddlers.

Between our amazing guide and the delicious breakfast, I highly recommend booking a trip with Sydney Kayak for your next trip to Sydney!

My first time in a kayak and just a wonderful experience for a Sydneysider. Sam gave great instructions & knew exactly when & where all the ferries & other vessels were going - so felt very safe. From the very beautiful Lavender Bay under the Harbour Bridge to a generous breakfast at Neutral Bay.
The sparkling water & light reflections were mesmerising & gave a truly beautiful new perspective on this city I’ve lived in for 35 years. And a bonus to meet some lovely people from different parts of the world. Will be doing some more kayak paddles soon.

We started at 7 am so it didn’t get too hot during the tour. We saw a lot of interesting sights but the best was going under the Harbour Bridge and around the Sydney Ferries. Sam, our guide, provided information and jokes. We stopped at a very nice cafe for breakfast just as we were getting hungry and shared a coffee among the locals (and their dogs!). We then took back to the water to return to the starting point and Sam made sure we stopped to get photos along the way. It’s quite an experience to see Sydney as it’s waking up. We took sneakers and stored them in the kayak (stayed dry!) but it’s probably better to take some thongs or crocs. We highly recommend this plan.

We had a brilliant morning paddling across Sydney harbour with Sam and others in our group! We got to see many lovely views like the Sydney opera house, the harbour bridge! Sam was a fantastic tour guide, extremely friendly and full of interesting facts about the different tourist attractions! A tasty breakfast was included in a cafe that we paddled out too that overlooked one of the bays! I would definitely recommend this to my family and friends to try if they are ever in the area! Make sure you bring some spare clothes because you will get wet 🚣🏼
