About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- nanafromCalgary0 contributionsWatch for their sidewalks and guttersComing from Canada, we loved St Maarten. Beautiful island. Lots to do and see. Would definitely go again. One concern is the Buccaneers Beach Bar, Simpson Bay We were on our way there when I fell in their gutter, which wasn’t marked. No grates and no paint. Unfortunately I broke my glasses when I hit the asphalt. Have cuts and bruises to parts of my body but thankful it wasn’t worse. We did bring it to the attention of the manager asking to fix the situation so it doesn’t happen again. Hopefully, they will do that.Written 22 March 2025
- R6862RXnancyr0 contributionsExcellent Service and Great Tour!Booked the tour through AAA and was so happy we did! Had a great tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide and driver. I am not a beach person so the time we spent (about 2 hours at each beach) was perfect for me. Would definitely book again with Amigo tours. Well done!Written 22 March 2025
- 791mistys0 contributionsA great introduction to St. Martin! We had the pleasure of meeting King David today. He was a fantastic tour guide and a great driver on the very congested island streets. We came in today on Virgin’s Resilient Lady. I had never been to the island before so had no idea what to expect. We learned a lot about the island and saw some spectacular views. Thanks, King David for a great day!Written 14 March 2025
- Diane1520 contributionsSt Maarten TourWe had a great driver who guided us around town and we enjoyed the beaches and food/cocktail choices available too. Would definitely recommend.Written 11 March 2025
- juliewV7159HK0 contributionsHighly recommend this tour!We had an excellent time! Captain K was an awesome tour guide. The beaches were great, and we were back at the cruise around 4pm.Written 2 March 2025
- Banjo1910 contributionsA must do excursionAfter reading the reviews, and knowing a bit about Maho Beach and the airport, I booked this for when our cruise docked. I wasn't prepared for Orient Beach though, absolutely stunning! The driver talked non stop but got a bit much as he pointed out pretty much everything such as car dealerships and grocery stores Ignore that part, enjoy the refreshments and amazing beachesWritten 1 March 2025
- U75UCtimothyh0 contributionsTwo beach tour.Captain K was great. Orient beach much better but it was fun watching the planes land so close. Getting a lounge chair wirh umbrella and two drinks for $10 at Orient well worth it.Written 27 February 2025
- Relax7439740 contributionsOrient Beach and Maho Beach 2025Great day of beach time in St. Maarten! Our driver/guide was Johnny! He was great, kept us on time and highlighted interesting points of interest along the way back to ship!Written 25 February 2025
- chrisdY3014ZH0 contributionsOverly crowded and sand up the b*ttThe planes flying right over your head was top notch incredible. But the beach is very crowded and the sand is super sticky. The water is rough and it gets deep quickly right off shore. Two ppl drowned a few weeks before we arrived in late January 2025. When planes takeoff: sand and belongings are blown all over the place ppl chasing hats and glasses into the ocean. They charge for the shower and the restroom if you need those. It’s also a long drive from the port so if your on a cruise it takes time away from being able to do anything else on the island.Written 21 February 2025
- U5202QJsarae0 contributionsUsed for airport transfer and would highly recommend!Amigo Tours worked super slick for our airport from/to transfer to Simpson Bay Resort. We were a group of 12, I was able to book and pay for everything online for <$8/person each way. They were waiting at the airport and had an extra shuttle just for our luggage. I gave them our departure time when we had to go back to the airport, they timely getting to the resort. Drivers were very friendly and accommodating-highly recommend.Written 17 February 2025
- howardr3050 contributionsWell worth whileOur driver Don did an excellent job, keeping the mood light and pointing out all the interesting points along the way. He also did a great job getting the bus out of tight spots. The only downside is that there was terrible traffic on the last leg of the trip - not his fault. Also, er would have preferred more tome on the French town of Margot and less on the beaches.Written 15 February 2025
- laurarD633WW0 contributionsMust seeGreat experience! David was great! Maho beach was crowded, there were 4 cruise ships when we went. Would definitely recommend.Written 13 February 2025

- thomasmI7590PG0 contributionsExcellent excursion! Well worth the money.Great tour. We visited the Dutch and French side of St. Martin. The stops were amazing. We were able to see the major attractions. The timing was excellent and the guide was knowledgeable.Written 10 February 2025
- lajojogogo0 contributionsI wouldn’t do this tour if you actually want to enjoy your experience in St.MaatenIt was a tourist trap type of tour. We stopped at “photo” stops - one place had a bunch of inuanas planted there, another stop had random farm animals just planted on top of hill. We only had 45 minutes in each stop we did which wasn’t enough to actually relax and enjoy any of the experiences. I do not recommend this tour if you want to actually enjoy your one afternoon in St Maarten.Written 9 February 2025

We visited St Maarten on a cruise ship but wanted a personalised tour for the 6 of us. I booked head with Amigo Tours after reading reviews and the process was very straightforward. Our driver and tour guide was Wellington. We met outside the cruise terminal and went onto the bus, very comfy with a cooler with cold drinks provided, I had asked to see/visit key sights on both sides of the island and the tour did not disappoint. We visited Oyster Bay, Coralita Bay, Orient Beach (lovely beach and stopped for a drink at one of the beach bars), then Marigot town and back to the Dutch side to Maho Beach (very crowded) to see the planes fly over. Weather wet but still very warm. Good tour, with a guide who has a great sense of humour, is very personable and informative, and (importantly) drives safely. Thankyou again Wellington from us all.

Amigos tours is a fantastic company and I highly recommend them. Wellington was mad cool and he took his time taking me and my girlfriend to some fabulous spots. That tour is best taken early on your visit, gives you good ideas on places you want to visit. Great company and people!👍🏾

Our tour guide Anthony was very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable about all things St Maarten. There were 8 of us on the private tour. The van was comfortable and Anthony proved a full cooler of cold drinks for the day. I had contacted Amigo via email several times before our tour and asked that we see the highlights of the island, have lunch at a local restaurant then then have an hour or so of beach time on a nice beach. I suggested Orient Beach might be a good place for lunch and beach time as we've been there several times and know there are restaurants there and the beach is beautiful. Instead Anthony make our first stop at Orient Beach (approx 10:00 am) and we opted to move on as we didn't want to do our beach time so early in the day and it was too early for lunch. Anthony then took us to a local restaurant in Marigot and assured us there would be time on a nice beach. Food was good but service was VERY slow and took much of our tour time. From there we went to Maho Beach (aka Airport Beach) where Anthony assured us this was a nice beach. It was not. It was extremely crowded...restrooms were disgusting and it was right at the end of the runway. I let Anthony know we were not going to stay there but we took about 10 minutes to use the disgusting rest rooms and take a few photos of the planes. Upon arrival back at the van we could not find Anthony and we waited approx 20 minutes for him to return at which time we were boxed in by a bus. Anthony had to go find the bus driver which took another 15 minutes. Traffic back to the cruise port was terribly slow and we never got our beach stop.
We did get to see the island highlights but feel cheated by the slow lunch and terrible stop at Airport Beach. My suggestion is to be VERY clear with your guide what you want to see and do. And avoid Airport Beach unless you like a crazy crowed beach with lots of drunken people.

I had not had time to really decide specific places to go. Asked to go to a nice beach for a bit, see the sights and go shopping and lunch at Marigold on the French side of the island. Our tour guide, Dudley was extremely knowledgeable and great. The van was nice and we were provided with drinks. The only thing we really did not do was go to a nice beach. But to be fair, family was contradicting on wanting to go to the beach. I would highly recommend Amigo tours! I would highly recommend Dudley as a guide. Be aware that on this island the meeting place is a distance from the boat so have a wheelchair or some sort of transport planned,(they did have little trams we found later. We had an 80 year old and a 76 year old.

We booked a private tour for,the day. Our driver Wellington was the best tour guide ever. He was patient, funny, and informative. He made suggestions of how to best spend our time. The destruction from the hurricane was tsobering. Cars stacked on top of one another. Boats still sunk in the water. It was a great exp Irene for our family to view the beauty and sadness of this island.

We were never notified about the time we were supposed to meet them for the tour or where the tour would leave from. I had to send an email the day of the tour to get that information. When we arrived the dispatcher said we would not be leaving till 10 even though I had an email from them saying they would be leaving between 9 and 9:15. The dispatcher also said we were in a group tour when we had booked a private tour she argued with me for about 5 minutes. When we finally got to the van it was beat up this the seats were dirty and torn. This was one of the worst tours we have ever been on and we have been on about 10 cruises with shore excursions on every tour. Driver was very helpful and very pleasant. It's the customer service that is atrocious.

Wellington was a fabulous guide. Five of us were in the group - three adults and two older teens. Wellington picked us up (from the cruise port) in a large, clean, mini-bus. He had water, beer, and rum punch available. He showed us the island - both the Dutch side and the French side. He was well-versed in the history of the island and kept us all entertained.Got us back to the port in time for our departure. This was the perfect tour and we would highly recommend this private tour over a tour through the cruise line. In fact, it is more cost effective than a tour through the cruise line.

i have several questions. we will be there 8/13 from anthem of the seas.
verifying pick up location as the cruise port, I assume there is only one?
I would like to know if the drinks provided are part of the tour or additional cost? the description mentioned beer, I would like to know what kind or if we can pick?
how does it work if we want to stop at shops or for lunch? does our guide just hang around and wait?
can we see things on both sides?
we really want to see the airplanes, will there be any additional fees to go to sunset Beach or any place? fees like parking.
