- 1Located north of Cairns, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is the best place to see crocodiles and Australian wildlife in Tropical North Queensland. Walk along the timber boardwalks and pathways, through woodlands and rainforest to see an array of tropical birds, reptiles, insects and other native fauna. There are entertaining and educational wildlife presentations to enjoy each day. (See below for times.) Watch the notorious ‘head shake’ and ‘death roll’ at the Crocodile Attack educational show, see some of the world’s most venomous snakes, and help feed the koala’s and cassowaries. Shows & Feeding times conducted by the parks qualified keepers. • 2.00pm Snake Show • 2.30pm Wetlands Cruise • 3.00pm Crocodile Attack Show • 4.15pm Cassowary feeding with a keeper • 4.30pm Koala feeding with a keeper Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is a long time accredited member of Ecotourism Australia and is the only wildlife park in Australia to be located within and surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage listed forest.

- 259candacea0 contributionsA Must Do TourAn amazing trip! Very comfortable van/bus. Daniel was very knowledgeable about the rain forest, the widelife and history of the area. We went to the Mossman Gorge, and a riverboat cruise looking for crocodiles and saw two. We continued to Daintree Forest and had very nice lunch at a cafe in the forest. We went to Cape Tribulation and stopped for ice cream on the way back. This tour is a must to see so much in such little time!!Written 4 February 2025

- barbaramlloyd620 contributionsRainy Rainforest experienceGot picked up early from our apartments by Adrian H and the whole journey from Port Douglas was informative with lots of stories and tales about Australian history and the local flora and fauna. The weather wasnt the best but Adrian got us from one place of interest to the next with military precision. We had scones in Mossman and a beautiful lunch in the Rainforest then ice-cream on the way back in Daintith. The scenery was stunning and even though we didnt see any saltwater crocs on our river cruise it was a totally awesome unique experience.10/10 and would highly recommend whatever the weatherWritten 27 January 2025
- 610cassif0 contributionsFascinating look at the Daintree RainforestThe tour was very interesting and informative. Our driver told good stories that kept us interested during extended drives. - tammye890 contributionsGreat way to see the rainforest! We enjoyed the scenic views of the rainforest. We took about 1/2 hour bus ride to the sky tram and took that up to Kuranda. The views were spectacular. There were 2 stops to see the forest and a waterfall. You have time to Kuranda where you can pay to do other things or walk around and shop. We then took the railway back down. The ride through the forest was beautiful and they told us some history abojt the train and area. The trip was very organized, staff was great. It was a fun day!Written 25 January 2025

Bloody awesome experience! The name of the place doesn’t do the diversity of the awesomeness justice. Sooo much more than the crocs !!!
While the Down Under bus was great (I didn’t have a car), I would spend the whole day here (I love animals though). The shows and presentations are stellar & all part of a relatively low entry fee. I would have looked for public transport (cheap bus) & spent longer there.

Dear jamesmF6963DA,
It's great to hear that you enjoyed the variety of animals and the quality of the shows and presentations. Sometimes, places with a focus on wildlife, especially when they're not just about one specific animal (like crocodiles), can be even more diverse and exciting than expected.
Thank you for sharing.
Kind Regards

Great day out getting introduced to all the local animals. Fantastic talks and shows (snake, crocodile attack, cassowary feeding and koala talk). Transport was on time in both directions and was accompanied with entertaining commentary. Recommend for an afternoon tour in Cairns, especially if you’re coming in the morning and don’t want to waste a day not having a tour.

This is an excellent adventure to do with your family. The cost was great and covered a croc spotting cruise within the park. The animals and shows were interesting and we allowed just a few hours on our way back to Cairns to have a look. I would recommend that you add this to the list in the first few days so you can use your ticket to go back if you want another day.

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR! There was no tour or transfer available to us. As a family it would have been half the price had we of rocked up on the day and paid at the gate. We were told to meet someone outside and no one was there. Our tickets were already available at the desk, however, there was no difference in the days activities to what we would have done if we just went on our own.
Hartley’s is a great place for families and was very informative but there is no way you need to pay extra for a tour that doesn’t exist. Just go to the front gate and pay directly there. It will save you over $100.

We had an unforgettable day at Hartley's. It all started with an awesome breakfast with a Koala named Daisy and a keeper called Ricki. Then a crocodile feeding experience lead by Mario a well experienced gentleman who was passionate and caring toward the animals providing us a new perspective of Crocodiles. Our boat tour was great with Kazu guiding our boat safely around the lagoon and in time for the tour on the farming side of the business. Greg was informative and provided a balanced view of commercial farming and the importance in sustainable practice not only in crocodile farming but as a society and the environmental challenges we face now and into the future. The croc attack show with Drew was the highlight of the day. His 40 min presentation was exciting and educational. We had a great day as a family and shared some unforgettable experiences being up close with these amazing creatures. The staff show passion and dedication and it shows in their exceptional delivery of customer focus.

Was collected by Beaches Meet & Greet for transfer on time from my hotel. I never usually give 5 stars but I had an amazing day saw all I wanted to see arrived about 1.30 pm in time to get a picture with a koala before the snake show then a quick wander round before the crocodile
Attack show then a cruise round the lagoon to see how croc feed. A totally amazing afternoon would recommend

We had a great family day out. We had our 6 and 3 year old children who loved the adventure. Gordon our bus driver was lovely. the lagoon boat tour went for 10 mins not the 20 mins. Two laps around the lagoon would of been better. We got a family photo with a crocodile which was $26. Kids loved it. lots of crocs to see. The croc attack show was great and the keeper was funny. Definitely a great day out to appreciate these crocs. having something to eat at the cafe and watching out for the crocs in the lagoon was fun for the kids. You can get beers ice creams cold drinks hot and cold food. A souvenir shop with bits and peices. Croc handbags etc one was 4K wowsa. overall a good experience.

We have been to Hartley’s quite a few times now, each visit has been faultless.
Bringing our toddler for his very first visit, we couldn’t have asked for a better day.
The entire facility is as immaculate as i have ever seen it, the wildlife as incredible, the staff as knowledgeable, friendly and respectful as ever. Flawless.
Plan your day around the show times, we thoroughly enjoyed all of them!
A particular note of acknowledgment to their efforts to create a hygienic, covid-safe experience for their guests without impacting whatsoever on our experience.
We will be back again soon, probably in the next few weeks!

Fantastic half day tour. Plenty of time to see the park, watch the crock attack show, go on the boat. Easy to get pics with baby croc and Koala and at reasonable prices. The bus driver was great and informative along the way up and back.
