- 1Lamanai (submerged crocodile), is one of the oldest, continuously inhabited archaeological zones in the Maya World. A major attraction of Lamanai is the well-preserved mask of a Maya ruler emerging from a crocodile headdress. Lamanai is a Mesoamerican archaeological site, and was once a major city of the Maya civilization, located in the north of Belize, in Orange Walk District. . On your boat ride, in addition to some amazing scenery, you’ll see wildlife like snail kites, jacana, morelet’s crocodile and iguanas. Lamanai was occupied for more than 3,000 years, up until European contact. The Archaeological Reserve not only contains a museum with ancient Maya artifacts, but visitors can also see the remnants of two (2) 16th century Spanish churches and a colonial sugar mill established in 1860.

- M874XAwendyc0 contributionsHighlight of our trip! So… much fun, our guide Antuane was incredibly knowledgeable and made the trip so much fun, especially for the kids! He kept them engaged with interesting facts and humor, making it both educational and entertaining. Highly recommend!Written 21 March 2025
- ShanaPVA0 contributionsPerfect Family TourThis was a perfect day for exploring the Belize interior. The van picked us up at the water taxi. The first stop was Altun Ha -- a very approachable Mayan settlement that even these old knees could climb and enjoy. Then a stop at the tour guide's family restaurant for a delicious meal. The day ended with cave tubing. Our guide was incredible - funny, knowledgeable, no canned speeches. I felt very secure with him in the dark caves (with bats) and on the roads. We learned so much and even the teenagers were engaged. And we covered a lot of material -- local elections, food, history, plant life, aquatic life, commerce, agriculture, music, tourism, fishing, housing, etc. We could not stump him. The van returned us at the water taxi just in time to walk right onto the boat. I would do all future tours with this company who has decades of experience and an investment in the well-being of Belize.Written 17 March 2025
- FlowersNQuilts0 contributionsPerfect Tour Day for Above and Below Ground!Cave Tubing R Us had great communication with us before the tour, answering many questions. They messaged that morning to confirm the tour and the name of our guide. Antuane arrived late to our hotel in a sketchy van...but we went with him anyway! Great decision.... He is a friendly, knowledgeable, experienced tour guide that made our day amazing! We switched to a better van at his family's restaurant and went to our first stop, the Belize Zoo. They were happy to add it on to the day for a very reasonable fee, as we passed right by it. He pulled up the map and information, and walked the zoo with us, sharing information about the animals. My favorite was the harpy eagle. (Be sure to use insect repellent, no matter what time of day you visit!!!) The Cave Tubing stop was amazing....Antuane helped us get set up at the parking area, then led us on the walk to the tubing launch. He has an arrangement with the folks at the launch for keeping his tubes there, so we didn't have to carry them. He roped our 4 tubes together and swam or floated as he guided us through the cave system. The water is cooler than the ocean, but easy to get used to and we were not chilled. We brought small flashlights, which was a good idea as the provided headlamps (attached to helmets) aren't that bright. He pointed out formations of interest and shared information to help us understand what we were seeing. The route circles around to the midpoint of the walk into the launch area, so it's a shorter walk to get back to the parking lot. The parking lot area has toilets, changing rooms and souvenir vendors. We didn't have to rent lockers, as his van was secure for our belongings. Lunch at his family's restaurant was delicious...chicken, rice and beans, veg and plantain. Sodas and water included. Entertainment provided by a couple of cute puppies! Altun Ha... wow. We were there on a Tuesday, and the place was almost deserted. (Not a cruise ship day.) This gave us the opportunity to feel the quiet and majesty of the place. Antuane guided us, which was great because the museum maps were back at the museum! There are stairs cut into rock to climb the main temple; they are not for the faint of heart...steep and uneven. The climb down is a different staircase that is easier to navigate and has handrails all the way. The museum has a replica of the Jade Head that was found here (which is featured on their currency), and nice toilets. We are so happy to have booked with Cave Tubing R Us, and especially Antuane. His years of experience and knowledge of the sites was the foundation of our amazing experience.Written 14 March 2025
- Daniel H0 contributionsFell in love with Belize!Amazing tour! Our tour guide, Antuane was extremely kind and personable. Lunch was a delicious Belizean-style meal at the tour guide’s family restaurant which made the experience even more authentic. Views from Altun Ha and the cave tubing sites were also unforgettable. You won’t regret booking!Written 6 March 2025
- andrewjM1118AX0 contributionsWell worth it. Fun for the whole familyTour guide was great knowledgeable he knew the area and history. The cave system was amazing, and the body surfing afterwards a hit. Lunch was delicious and a complimentary soda was on pointWritten 9 February 2025
- N2903COkimberlyk0 contributionsWorth every penny for this private tour. Our guide, David, was great! He is very knowledgeable about all the places we saw and all other things "Belize." He was lively and enthusiastic and so fun to talk with. We did the Pyramids first, then we headed to lunch (which was delicious) and finished our tour Cave tubing. The hike to the cave was a little longer than we expected and one of group members walks slow, but David was so patient and accommodating throughout the tour. It was a highlight of our trip!Written 7 February 2025
- ryancC5815IU0 contributionsBest Tubing Day!Standout experience with David! He greeted us with a smile and a sign with our reservation name. He shared facts about town and our upcoming cave adventure as we drove to the site. We stopped for refreshments and snacks at a gas station halfway through the drive. When we arrived at Nohoch Ch’een, the cave site, our guide led us on a less than 1 mile hike to our tubes and the water’s edge of the cave opening. Our group sat, and David swam us into the dark. I won’t spoil it, but we had an amazing experience here! After we exited the cave, we floated along past other tours who had to end their journey there and begin walking back. We continued floating back through to the end, to our shorter walk back. All that adventure makes one hungry, so David drove us to our lunch spot where we were greeted by a complimentary delicious meal, water, and soda. I would absolutely recommend this excursion. David was humorous, informative, and infused his energy into the day.Written 7 February 2025
- Stephaniersm0 contributionsAdventures await! What a great experience! Antwon was an amazing guide. His energy was infectious and he was so full of knowledge… very entertaining tour guide. His mom made us lunch and that was so good! Super friendly, so attentive and kept us all relaxed and having a great time. The cave is impossible to describe adequately. Gorgeous. Peaceful. Enormous. I highly recommend this incredible adventure- you’ve never seen anything like it.Written 7 January 2025
- N2563JHhollys0 contributionsBest Day Ever! This tour was recommended to us by friends that had used them before. We spent the day with Antwan, the owners son. He was an extraordinary guide. He was extremely friendly and kept us laughing and talking all day. We felt very safe, he knows the area and knows everyone! We drove out to the caves and he guided us exactly to the river, telling about the rainforest, and all the extras. We didn’t have to carry our tubes on the 15-20 min walk to the river or carry them back, which was really nice!! The float through the cave is about 45 minutes, and he had our floats chained together and guided us expertly through the caves. while talking and telling us all about the structures inside and the history of the cave. We even saw bats! Coming out of the caves, as we floated down the river, our rope snapped! Antwan was a professional, he kept us all together and no one tipped or fell out. He was amazing. He really wanted us to have a great experience and keep us all safe and it showed. On the way back, we stopped for lunch at his parents restaurant and had the most amazing food we have had in a long time. It was neat to meet his family and hear about their culture and country. It will be impossible to beat this excursion on our ten day cruise. We definitely highly recommend this tour!!!Written 30 December 2024

- BoardingPass3894510 contributions5 star experience!Antoine (David’s son) was our guide. He had fascinating information about Belize past and present. He wasted no time getting us directly to the cave tubing. So grateful he did, as we were the first ones there and had a private experience in the cave tubing with Antoine in the water guiding us along. It was unique, amazing and beautiful. Afterward, he took us back to his parent’s restaurant for a home cooked lunch. It was delicious, even our picky 9 year old gobbled it down. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, many thanks to Antoine and family for making it unforgettable!Written 3 October 2024
- Karrie12070 contributionsRuins and Cave tubing Adventure! We picked this tour because it is the only tour that will take you to the ruins and cave tubing. Our guide Antwone was very knowledgeable about Belize, the Mayans and the culture. He picked us up on time and accommodated our schedule even though we were only in the port from our cruise from 9:00-4:00. It was alot to pack everything in due to the far driving distance for both spots. The cave tubing was the highlight of the tour. We really enjoyed being shown around by a true local. That being said "the locals" do drive aggressive as in many Caribbean countries (just a heads up). The van needs some TLC which is why I only gave 4 stars and not 5.Written 11 August 2024
- carey86420160 contributionsThis your packs in a lot.David and his son Antwon were the best hosts. They’re both knowledgeable and entertaining, and a great touch was lunch at their family restaurant. The ruins were amazing, but the tubing far exceeded expectations. It’s such a unique experience. The only downside was the van - it’s a little run down and the rain got in one window, but since we were already wet from tubing it wasn’t a big deal. I highly recommend this tour and these hosts.Written 30 July 2024

The highlight of our trip was this cave tubing excursion! Antwon was our driver and our river guide was great as well! Their service was unmatched, so polite and friendly! Plus the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. I’d fly back to Belize for one day just to do this again! Not an experience I’ll soon forget!
