- P8508MMmikaelb0 contributionsSuccessful summit at sunriseWe had a great time with the team at Halomi Trekker during our 2D/1N trip up to Mt Rinjani. They took good care of us from the day before with booking us in a nice homestay to the ascension during the night and the transportation back to our next destination! With a bit of training and good stamina you'll make it! Thanks again and you can definitely trust the team at Halomi Trekker to get you to the final point with breathtaking views 😎Written 26 November 2024
- tia_pORtland0 contributions3D2N Sembalun - ToreanHad such a great time and experience with Halomi Trekkers. I would love to give a shout out to my driver, as I had lots of complications coming from Bali to Lombok due to the volcanic eruptions on Flores. Originally I had a delayed flight around noon, which ultimately, my flight was cancelled a day prior to the start of my trek, so I was determined to get to Lombok. I had to take the public ferry from Bali to Lombok which is 5 hours which didn't arrive at the port till about 10:30pm and it was about a 2 hour drive from the port to Senaru, which we didn't arrive till about 1am. My amazing driver started at the airport, and waited the entire day for me to arrive in Lombok, even late into the night. My guide Mul and my two porters for my trek were amazing. Mul always made sure I was okay and even offer to carry my backpack. The porters were somehow crazy fast, but Mul always kept a great pace and always offered many water breaks throughout the trek. The summit portion is tough, but Mul kept a great pace that allowed me to make it just in time for the sun to rise just over the ocean. Halomi provided two trekking poles which were 100% needed for both the ascent and descent of the summit. I took the Torean route coming down which had amazing views of the ridges on both sides of the trail, as well as views of the river and multiple waterfalls. Would highly recommend at least one trekking pole for the descent as the trek is quite rough on your knees. Overall, if you are considering trekking Rinjani, "Just Do It"! Although its a tough trek, the views of Rinjani are worth the effort. But if you are gonna hike it, you should definitely work with Halomi Trekkers and request Mul as your guide as well. You won't regret it!!!Written 21 November 2024
- Yus s0 contributionsBest waterfalls in IndonesiaI would highly recommend the waterfall tour to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep with Halomi, Hafizah was a great, friendly guide - she was very knowledgable about the local area and very helpful throughout the walk to the waterfalls. You won’t be disappointed!Written 20 October 2024
- Q8166AIchrish0 contributionsWonderful hike up Rinjani (25th-27th of September)It was hard work but definitely worth it for the views and experience. We had a great guide 'Wir', and two great porters 'Wirnadi' and 'Jitrani' who are incredibly hard working and can make the climb effortlessly. We loved how they took all of the rubbish down off the mountain too, very eco friendly. We decided against going to the summit on the second day and instead got a head start down to the lake and hot springs. We were amazed by how they were able to cook such restaurants quality meals on the side of a mountain, with great presentation. 'Wir' was a great host, always offering water, tea and snacks throughout, and was very patient with us and we climbed and descended. All in all, we very much recommend this company if you are planning a climb the mountain but it is definitely a difficult hike that you should train for before hand.Written 2 October 2024
- DayTrip531783645140 contributionsThe best guide, Irsyad, in Mt. Rinjani4-day-trekking on Mt. Rinjani gives me an unforgettable memory and experience. Although it’s very tough to get to the summit, the view is definitely worthy. Camp on lake side is a chill and wonderful night to me. The guide and 2 potters always take care of us, especially the guide, Irsyad. He is very nice, awesome, and professional guide. He also speaks many languages. Irsyad is the best choice when you trek in Rinjani.Written 20 September 2024
- wangwangwangwangwang0 contributionsMake no mistake, Rinjani is incredibly tough, so you absolutely need an expert guide like him.Irsyad was an incredibly funny and professional guide. When I got cramps in my thighs and legs, he pulled out a first aid kit and applied ointment for me. As I reached the mountain summit, he carried my backpack for me. Additionally, he’s a skilled fisherman – he made a fish spear out of a spoon and caught a fish for our dinner. Overall, I’m extremely grateful for his guidance, which gave my wife and me such a wonderful experience.Written 20 September 2024
- O2009NKlukass0 contributionsUnforgettable experience!I recommend this amazing team to everyone who wants to climb Mt. Rinjani. It is a tough hike, but our guide and porters supported us so well, that it was an amazing experience. What ever speed we walked, when ever we wanted to take a break, our guide made it possible. Also the food was really good and always so much, that we couldn't eat all of it. All in all it was an unforgettable adventure!Written 10 September 2024
- Dreamer585148142410 contributionsA most wonderful and perfectly organized experience! It's hard to describe the 4 days and 3 nights tour to Mt. Rinjani with words or pictures we (2 people) did with our Guide Al, our two porters Salam and Ajud, as well as with the little brother Mu. Everything was perfectly organized from the start, and communication via Mail and WhatsApp was smooth. We got picked up at the ferry in Lombok, received a briefing for the tour, and checked in to a nearby hotel (HaLoMi Trekker organizes pick-up from anywhere on Lombok, and it's included). On the first day, we started our trek to BaseCamp, enjoying good talks with Al and the meals our porters prepared for us (always plenty of delicious and nutritious food). The hike to BaseCamp is quite easy; we did not have much training for mountain hiking before as we are from the flat North of Germany, and there are many people who do the hike in sneakers. After a beautiful view and sunset at BaseCamp (Al avoided staying at the overcrowded Camp1 and went straight to Camp5), we started the ascent to the summit at 2 am. It was quite an experience due to a slippery and steep (but safe) climb. The sunrise on Mt. Rinjani (3-4 hours later) at 3721m was 100% rewarding. The ascent is of medium difficulty but due to its sheer length you need willpower. But if you have a guide like ours (ask for Al!), he will support you all the way with BengBeng, water, and pep talks. After sunrise, we went down for a short breakfast and then further down to the crater lake, where (again) Al and the porters passed by the crowded campsites and prepared the most beautiful place for our camp on the other side of the lake. We were the only tent at that spot, which was mostly free of trash and waste (which is probably the only negative thing to say about the Mt. Rinjani trek). We went swimming in the lake and then to the hot springs (where we were luckily alone for a while). The next day, we did another 3-hour hike to the next camp on another ridge with a beautiful panoramic view and incredible sunset (you can see mountains from Bali and Java even with a cloudy sky). The last day is a nice trek, 3-4 hours all along the jungle. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it’s really hard to express how grateful we are to our guide and porters for all the guiding, carrying, and preparing all of this for us. Thanks again to HaLoMi Trekker for making this trip such a memorable experience, which we will never forget. PS: Do the 4 days / 3 nights if you don’t want to rush through all the nice spots!Written 6 September 2024
- skueng20 contributions2 Days Hike to rememberMy friend and I did the 2 days one night hike with our goal to get to the summit. Adi our Guide and the two Carriers did an amazing job getting us as far as we came until the weather was too bad. We allways felt safe and together with Adi we decicded not to climb to the top. Still it was an amazing adventure and we had the best time! Thank you Adi and also a special thank you to the carriers who are doing an absolute insane job to make your trip the best it could be.Written 27 August 2024

There will be a bridge that might trigger people with fright of heights - it is concrete and safe tho. - GoPlaces539266945160 contributionsAmazing Rinjani Trek with HaloMi TrekkerThe trek on Mount Rinjani with HaloMi Trekker was an incredible experience! The organization was great from start to finish. I was picked up at the port of Bangsal, brought to Sembalun for the trek, and after the trek, I was brought back to Mataram. The two drivers I had were really nice and professional. The guide Eddy, along with the porters (Eddy’s son Bayu and Tivy), were amazing and very helpful. Eddy is very knowledgeable about the Rinjani National Park, and if you ask, he will tell you about the history of the volcanic eruptions that occurred in Lombok, especially the 1257 CE Samalas eruption that resulted in the formation of the Segara Anak lake that you will discover during the trek. The food was really good, and Eddy and his team made sure we had plenty to have enough energy for the trek. Eddy and his team also ensured that our campsite was always clean and made efforts to remove trash along the way, which should be commended. The Rinjani National Park is incredible. However, tourism has led to a lot of trash on the mountain. The effort to maintain the natural beauty of the trail was truly appreciated. I highly recommend HaloMi Trekker. If you decide to do the Rinjani trek, remember that you will need to hire porters to help carry the tent, water, and food. The work done by porters is extremely challenging, so as much as possible, try to make sure that their load is not too heavy and try to give some tips ☺️.Written 30 July 2024
- Tourist568003940020 contributions2D1NWe did the 2D1N trek to the crater. Our guide edi and the two porters were amazing and did still their best to feel us comfortable. The dishes were wonderfull and really a lot. You'll get fresh fruits and fresh food made with love by the porters. We did the deluxe trek which includes chairs and table. As soon as we've seen what the porters has to carry on their shoulders we felt a little ashamed. They have big mats to sit on which is fully enough to take a break or a meal. So if you want to do them a favor book the standard trek and give the money as tips to them. We had a wonderfull trip and can fully recommend to book a trip with halomi trekker.Written 27 July 2024

It was an amazing experience. My partner and I enjoyed it so so much. We were well taken care of by the guide and porter, we just needed to concentrate on hiking up this "hill". Not an easy task but we managed to do it under 2 hours included a stop halfway to have lunch which the porter will prepare. Once we reached the top, we were treated to an amazing view of Mt Rinjani and the mountains surrounding the village below. The guide n porters pitched up the tents and we stayed overnight. A truly unforgettable experience suitable for all age groups.

We were 2 couples who did the hike to pergasingan. Everything was so well organized, we couldn't be in better hands! We were promptly picked up at bangsal harbour by our very friendly driver, Diyaz.
At the hike 2 porters went ahead and we were well taken care of by our guide Sahmad. He had excellent knowledge and experience from climbing Rinjani and pergasingan for many many years. He was always checking if we were doing okay, gave us snacks and drinks to keep our blood suger up.
At the top the porters had already prepared the camp and in addition they prepared the most delicious dinner ever! Amazing! 👏👏👏
Can't recommend them strongly enough
Would definitely choose them again!

My girlfriend and I went with Halomi Trekker to climb Pergasingan Hill. We camped at the top, seeing the most amazing sunset and sunrise! Our guide Hendri and our porter Harry were awesome. They were very friendly, funny and patient and did everything they could to ensure we had a good time. We were given fruit, popcorn, biscuits and drinks, and the food they cooked was amazing! Hendri taught us a lot about Lombok and was great to talk to. We were really impressed by how easily Harry navigated the the climb with such a heavy load! These guys really know their stuff. Would definitely recommend.
