Amazing trip to mount Rinjani with beautiful sunrise
We had an awesome trip to mount Rinjani together with Adi and two porters which carried all the food, tent and other stuff we needed during the trip. Adi did an amazing job as a guide and taught us about Rinjani, the region and even taught a little bit of indonesian. What I was sad about was the littering situation at Rinjani. Some parts of the track are covered in leftovers of tourists and agencies, I hope a) tourists will take their trash with them and b) agencies and authorities will come up with a permanent solution to keep this beautiful region clean and tidy. During the decsent, Adi and ourselfs did some mountain cleanup which showed me that they really care about their home.

We had an amazing experience with halomi. Our guide Aries and the porters were very friendly and caring. They prepared the nicest camping with the best food for us! The hike is exhausting but totally worth it! 10/10 would recommend. Thanks again for this great time.

          Great trek. Great company.
We have just returned from an amazing 4 day 3 night trek. It was really tough trekking as it was either steep ascent or steep decent. There's no ridge or flat walking. Our guide Eddy and team of 5 porters looked after us really well. We had dry weather but it was extremely windy so we weren't able to safely attempt to reach the summit. However the views from both crater rims and the lake were incredible. Halomi looked after us very well from our initial enquiry in the UK to our final booking. They adapted their service to meet our schedule and location needs. Nothing was too much trouble. Rinjani is a fantastic experience but as others have said the amount of rubbish left by others is really really bad. Unless the National Park gets to grips with this people will stop coming.

Great team to make a challenging hike enjoyable
We just finished an amazing 3 day 2 night hike with Halomi Trekker! Our guide Rudi was fantastic - he supported, motivated, educated us along the whole journey and made this very challenging hike a unique experience. Also, a great thank you to our porters Mandot and Jul who carried a heavy weight in an incredible speed to make sure we had everything we needed in the mountains and prepared delicious food for us. All in all, we can highly recommend doing the tour with Halomi Trekker!

          A Volcano Hike To Remember
My journey of a lifetime on my first big hike. Rinjani 3days 2 nights, Sembalun - Summit - Senaru. 31 Oct to 2 Nov. I did a solo private trek with Hilomi Trekkers. I had a very professional and wonderful experience with HiLoMi Trekkers. From first contact with Ms Balqis via email, the responses were so quick and arrangements were very smooth. And right up to the end of my final drop off. No complaints. Coordination was excellent. Pick up at airport on arrival was on time and the 3hour drive to the office and my homestay in Senaru was without problems, thanks to a dedicated and good driver. Briefing even arrival at 9.00pm by Aman just shows the team is dedicated to ensure i fully understand the trip from A to Z and what is expected. My guide, Yhon, is a very cheerful and wonderful guide. We can talk alot along the way, conversing with him in Bahasa Indonesia is fun. He is very caring. Giving me cookies everytime we stop for breaks. And he gives good information about the trail and what to expect. He patiently waits for me when im slow. Our porters Jean and Lemi are also fun bunch of people. They tirelessly go ahead and set up camp and food way before i arrive. The food was so overwhelmingly good and plentiful. Its like eating in a 5 star hotel up in the mountains! The tents and sleeping gear were all good quality. Even endured every night in the howling winds. Yhon was very supportive when we ascended to the summit. Leaving at 2am and arriving safely but slowly by 6am just after sunrise. On the way down we had fun running in the loose sand, and Yhon impromptu filmed me running down side by side. Amazing. Until the last day and finally reaching the Senaru gate exit, i had seen and experienced almost everything a human can go through on this hike. Fun, laughter, fatigue, pain. Mental challenges, spiritual awakening, contemplation, perseverance, courage, patience. This hike is a test of strength and will. And im glad the HiLoMi team were there with me until the very end. I highly recommend Hilomi Trekkers to anyone wanting to take the challenge of hiking up Rinjani. I only ask for all would be hikers to take care of the environment of Rinjani. This is a beautiful mountain and lets not pollute it any further. Take nothing but memories, leave nothing but footprints. Thank you Hilomi Team. I hope to be back again one day!

          Rinjani Summit - unforgettable experience
We did the 2 days 1 night summit trek end of October with Halomi. The whole trip was perfectly organized incl. pickup at the harbour, accomodation the day before the trek and transfer to our next destination after the tour. It was an unforgettable experience incl. spectacular views at Rinjani. The tour itself is tough, especially the part from the camp to the summit in the early morning. Special thanks to our guide Mul who did an incredible job. Always caring, answering all of our questions, decent English skills , super friendly, funny and a very humble person with always a smile on his face. Also only the biggest of respect to our porters En and Amat who carried up all the equipment, tent and food, which was prepared freshly and of excellent taste. The whole team made sure we have everything we need at any time and made it as easy as possible for us. Highly appreciated. When around we'll definitely book with Halomi again and do another tour with more time to enjoy all the parts of the beautiful Rinjani area. Again many thanks to the whole Halomi team and especially to Mul, the one and only Mr. Handsome! ;)

          Summit Trekking Rinjani
We did the Rinjani trek incl summit with Halomi Trekkers in a 3 days 2 night tour. All we had to do is hiking and climbing with our personal belongings in our backpacks ( clothes, camera, …) our guide and the 2 porters took care of the rest. The food was excellent. Also important: they carried 13 liters of fresh water as the springs up there are not always the cleanest. As well important: they took all our garbage back in order to dispose it properly. Gerneral comment to be made: Garbage and toilet situation is very bad!

A breathtaking adventure with heartwarming company
We decided to go on a private tour with halomi trekker after we read a blog entry on this activity. I started the conversation via mail, which was always answered rapidly but rather monosyllabic. Nevertheless, no questions were left afterwards and when the day arrived to start the adventure all went according to plan. We were picked up by a driver from a port in Lombok and he took us to the office were we again discussed the plan for the next days. We spent the night in a hotel nearby and the next morning our guide Rudi picked us up together with our porters Sul and Happy. The first day was a bit crowded because everyone would start at the same place at roughly the same time with the same goal but the next days were quieter. We always seemed to be the first ones to arrive so we had the premium camping spots and meals ready even before other tellers had a place to sit. Our porters spoiled us with delicious, freshly cooked local meals and the tent set up with a spectacular view. Rudi always supplied us with snacks and drinks during the walk. It was tough sometimes but it would always pay off with an amazing view. We enjoyed the national park and it’s beautiful nature. It was different every day. I especially liked the hot springs and the lake where you can take a nice swim or just enjoy the view. We actually did the tour in 3 days and spent the last night in a coffee Plantage from which you could see the waterfall. We started early to our next location on the last day but not before we had our last breakfast set up right on the platform to see the waterfall. Then, the driver picked us up, brought us back to the hotel where we stored our luggage and took us to a place of our choice. I would definitely recommend this to everyone in a good physical shape who wants to add a little adventure to his/her holiday. I would also rate the price very reasonable taking into account the service, food and equipment you receive during the trek. We cannot thank Rudi, Sul and Happy enough. They made this experience very special. I have no doubt they were very experienced on the work they did.

Unforgettable Rinjani Hiking Adventure with Dani and Mul!
Beyond grateful to have Dani and Mul as my guides on this Rinjani hiking trip! They made an effort to interact with everyone in the group, which made the trekking experience much more enjoyable. Their familiarity with the mountains and level of preparedness made us feel safe throughout the journey. They were carrying more than enough water and food supplies for us in their haversack, making sure that we will be well hydrated and energized throughout the climb. Not forgetting the group of porters who also made sure that we are well fed for every meal and they even prepared snacks in between mealtimes for us. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering this trek.

          Fantastic
My recent Rinjani hiking trip, led by the remarkable duo, Dani and Mul, was truly exceptional in every way. Their unwavering energy and constant encouragement made this adventure an experience of a lifetime. Even though we did not manage to summit due to unusual strong windy conditions, Dani and Mul's enthusiasm and encouragement made it feel like we have done it. Their knowledge of the region and the mountain's unique challenges made us feel safe and well-informed throughout the journey. Another bonus of this adventure apart was the amazing meals the porters prepared. It was delicious and fueled us well for the hikes In summary, my Rinjani hiking experience with Dani and Mul was beyond extraordinary. I can't speak highly enough of their enthusiasm and expertise. If you're contemplating a Rinjani trek, choosing them as your guides is a decision you won't regret. They turned a challenging climb into an unforgettable adventure, and I am immensely grateful for their guidance. This was undoubtedly a five-star journey!

Biggest challenge of my life: Mount Rinjani! 3726 M
When you plan to climb Mount Rinjani, you gotta be prepared for a tough journey. I was so glad we chose HaLoMi Trekker as our trekking agency. They provided everything we needed, including walking sticks, sleeping bags, tents, food and fruits and so on. Even took pictures and videos for me and my boyfriend while we were struggling lol. Big thanks to our two tour guides, Dani and Mul (moon), very energetic and supportive all the way. Especially Moon, I was the last one of the team but he always standed by my side to make sure my safety. "Almost there!" was the most encourage words he said to me. They are the best part of this Rinjani tour. Also many thanks to the porters, I have no idea how strong they are to carry all heavy stuff and cook food for us. Really hard working! There's no doubt that climbing Mount Rinjani would be the remarkable memory in my life. Cheers to myself!

We chose this activity because we had only two days and one night for the Rinjani trek and realised that summit trips squeezed to only two days are very exhausting. Furthermore, we wanted to see Rinjani mountain itself during sunrise so the crater rim trek seemed more favorable for our goals. And so it was!
The trek starts early morning in Senaru village entrance to the National Park. You walk a total 8 km, mostly steep uphill, up to the crater rim camp site, most part through tropical forest (shaded but very humid), last part savanna and a little bit slippery because of sandy ground, but not difficult at all. Net walking time 5-6 hours, depending of your condition. Lunch and snack stops on route.
Camp site with beautiful views of Mt Rinjani, caldera lake and the young volcano. All depends of the weather conditions and clouds, of course.
The next day you walk back the same route to Senaru, starting after the breakfast. Approximately 1 pm you reach Senaru. After taking your remaining luggage from the office you are transferred to your desired spot on Lombok which is included in the package.
We did the trek with Rinjani Trekking Center and are very content with their organisation, staff and service, highly recommended.

The trip was great and so well organized. Everything worked out perfectly. We were picked up close to Gili Gede (the driver was even two hours early). He brought us to a house, where they explained everything in detail and where you had to pay the rest of the costs (that you havent already payed via bank transfer) in cash. Then he brought us to our accomodation, which was clean and had an AC. The dinner was not included so we went to super nice restaurant just around the corner.

The trek itself was great. It was just my husband and I with the guide. We took many breaks and there was more food and water than you can imagine. The guide really cared about us too. He even brought a sleeping bag to the summit of the volcano, when we watched the sunrise. because it was just freezing up there.

        Totally worth it!!

What an amazing experience, it was brutally tough but we did it and it was all worth it! Accompanied by our wonderful guide Mul, his dad, two other team members and another couple, we started our hike!

We started off great, smoothly going up the hills and having a fantastic meal after the first and easiest part. After that it became tough, it rained and we were soaked when we arrived at base camp. But the guys took care of us with hot drinks and building our tents. Than they also made us an amazing dinner and we ate under the beautiful Night sky (in the freezing cold)! Be prepared to take warm clothing but still try to pack as light as possible!

We woke up, had a great little breakfast and continued our hike up the mountain! The end was brutal, many struggled hard and we did as well. But we made it in the end, also because of the great support of our wonderful guide Mul! What a guy!

The view was breathtaking and instantly made you forget about all the struggles you‘ve faced during the hike! Absolutely wouldn’t want to miss it.

After making loads of pictures we started our decent which was another challenging experience but way less tough than going up the hill that‘s for sure!

What an experience and what a team. Simple amazing! Thank you to everyone at Halloumi tours!

What can I say… We had an AMAZING experience! Starting from the pickup at the harbour with a very friendly driver and the briefing at the office, which was very helpful. You stay in a very nice hotel with great food and an even better view in the morning. Our amazing guide and extremely friendly porters helped us going up the mountain. During the trip we got a crazy amount of delicious snacks and meals! Amazing view and experience on top!! We spent the night in a very comfortable tent with mattress, pillow and warm sleeping bag. After going down we were perfectly guided to our next destination. A driver brought us to the port and there was somebody helping us until we got on the boat. 10/10 for their service and 10/10 for experience!!!

I have no hesitation in recommending Halomi to do your 2 day trek. Everything was catered for and I was looked after from the initial pick up from the airport. I am a 47 year old female solo traveller and thoroughly enjoyed this trek. Waterfall hike day before was included aswell. The view was worth the aching legs. Highly recommend Eddy as a guide who was incredibly patient assisting me, especially on the descent. Fab tour 😊

Super well organized, the food was supeeerrr good. we could compare with other groups around and we definitely had a better service( even our tent spot was better, the porters came up early to get the best view!). We had Harry as guide, he gave us a lot of attention, and followed us through the whole way.

We did a 2d1n trek with Halomi trekkers. Kudos to the guide and porters. It is not an easy trek but we enjoyed the journey. Our guide, Edi, and porters prepared delicious meals which helped to boost our morale. Edi also picked up rubbish on the way down, which is another plus point. Many thanks to the guide and porters for making this journey possible. It is nothing but hard work. Going up mount rinjani with the load that can range from 30-45kg is definitely not easy and for that, they deserve nothing but respect and admiration.

We had this hike in mind for a while and even though we learned sadly that because of the 2018 earthquake we could not reach the summit on a 3D2N hike, we signed up for the 2D1N hike to the rim. It was a real physical and mental challenge (i am a yoga teacher and he is a PT) but was well worth it. Our guide, Harry, was really kind, talkative and helped us get the best spot to settle our tent once we reached the rim. He is young and very talkative but respect and understand if you need a bit of silence too :).
