Captain Gets Up Close to Seals for a Pleasurable Trip
This was a private excursion tour. The captain took us along the coastline narrating along the way what we are going by. He did an exceptional fine job in getting the boat up close to the seals swimming along and laying on the rocks. I got many great pictures. Not sure if it is standard part of a trip but hot coffee, tea as well as nibbles were provided. His assistants provided guidance on what was happening and narrated some biological information with regards to the seals. A great trip.

      Excellent tour
We went on this tour (first of the whale watching season) for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was great, didn't see whales (always luck) but lots of other animals.

It was raining which cannot be controlled by the staff. We still enjoyed the cruise and commentary. The staff were very friendly and dealt well with other customers who did not want to listen to the staff members safety advise.

Experienced and hospitable crew, great day out!
Seamless operation by the crew and captain. Felt really safe and enjoyed the day aboard their boat. Saw a range of sea life including whales and enjoyed viewing the coastline from the water.

      A whale 🐳 of a day
Another fantastic whale cruise with the WCC team at the beautiful Wilson’s Promontory……super weather conditions all day helped us thoroughly enjoy the day. The Captain and crew got us onto whales for nearly the entire cruise. So much so, we stayed out later than scheduled (with everyone’s agreement) as a single juvenile insisted in circling the boat for over 30 mins to play. We had breaches, tail slapping, muggings and spy hopping…the full Monty. Would totally recommend the cruise and a huge thank you to the crew.

      Winter Whale watching
Our Phillip Island Winter Whale watching tour was a great success. We saw two separate groups of humpback whales, numerous dolphins swimming and jumping right beside the boat, and dozens of seal pups playing in the water at Seal Rocks. The water was quite rough at times but we are OK sailors and did not become unwell. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable, and they served up some delicious treats for us. The design of the boat makes it quite easy for everyone to get a good view, from in or outside

      Must do on Philip Island!
We went with our kids and they both loved it. Captain was very skillful and brought us very close to the seal rock where we saw hundreds of seals in their natural habitat doing what they were best at: surfing, sunbathing, socializing and diving. The staff on the boat was friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. We would definitely do it again in the future. Even if you are not a huge fan of the seals, the ride out from Cowes to the seal rock is worth the price itself!

My family of 5 including 3 teenagers absolutely loved the Wilsons Prom Full Day Cruise. The scenery was exceptional. The seals amazing. The beach at Refuge Cove was an absolute gem. We did the Wilsons Prom Full Day cruise. Well worth the price to spend a whole day (9 hours) with these guys. Michael the skipper was chock full of local knowledge (history, wildlife, etc) and Hayley and Chris were great crew. They were all so easy to talk to and interact with. Skull cave, the seals and Refuge cove (own time to walk and swim) were the highlights. The food was endless and of great quality. Really enjoyed our day!

Thanks to Michael and crew for an awesome day out on the BreannaLee exploring Wilsons Prom. Although the seas were a bit choppy at times, the scenery more than made up for it. Rabbit Rock, Sealers Cove, Refuge Cove, the stunning Skull Rock and seeing the seals at play were highlights of the day. We were well looked after with morning and afternoon tea and a delicious lunch. Great day.

We were so impressed with this cruise..it definitely exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and great to talk to. There was copious amounts of delicious food that was served all throughout the day. The scenery was breathtaking... it felt like we were exploring a foreign country! We saw dolphins, seals and birds... the captain of the boat took us up and close to all of these amazing creatures and as far inside caves etc as possible. Skull rock was an amazing sight, as was the southern most tip of mainland Australia. HIGHLY recommend this trip to anyone!

One of the best trips we have experience in a while.

I had reservations about the cost, the weather and the sea conditions, but on the day it all fell into place. Could not have wishes for a better experience. The weather was perfect, the scenery spectacular and the crew helpful and very informative. Even had wetsuits and flippers on hand for the swim at Refuge cove, which I might add is a must do.

Would highly recommend it to anyone.

Thanks to the crew for a fabulous day.

Being a regular hiker along the east coast of Wilsons Promontory for many years I was eager to see all the places that I had visited from the sea. The designated camp sites are in coves that were first visited from the sea and viewing them from the sea one can see what would have attract early explorers to take a closer look. The coves look idyllic with shelter from the elements and offering fresh water. They also attracted commercial interest with sealing and timber being the most prominent. Remnants of these industries still exist. Our cruise commenced from Port Welshpool ( not from Cowes) and headed south, we rounded the coast where a lighthouse is situated and headed west (around the most southern end of the Australian Mainland) and then north to view seals basking on huge rock formations and then onto our turn-about point, a rock formation referred to as Skull Rock. The open sea was rough but the vessel coped with the conditions admirably and once we returned to the lee side of the prom with a following sea, conditions were a lot smoother. It was on the return trip that we sighted out first whales (great excitement on board), this was followed by coming into a sheltered section of Waterloo Bay and anchoring for a very enjoyable cooked lunch. We left again to be entertained by numerus whale and dolphin sightings. The dolphins surfed in the vessels wake and the whales came within 10 meters of the side of vessel escorted by numerous dolphins. We stopped again at Refuge Bay, anchored, and after being served a delicious desert were taken ashore to hike around the Bay. Pulling out to sea again to headed north for home, on the return we saw numerous whales and a wide variety of sea birds. It was coming onto dusk by the time we pulled into Port Welshpool, a long but very enjoyable day made possible by the awesome location as well as a very enthusiastic and hospitable crew, namely the skipper, Mel, “Johnno” and Renee. The trip is suitable for both children and seniors, both extremes were represented among the passengers and all managed very well with the various sea conditions.

I did the Wilson's Prom trip for the first time yesterday. I have been wanting to do this trip for ages! It did not disappoint.

We saw too many bottlenose and common dolphins to count. Lots and lots of birds. Seals ... and a grand total of 10 humpback whales including a mother and calf.

I have never had the pleasure of seeing whales before. I stepped out the door of the boat and found a humpback whale right beside the boat!

I just love these trips by Wildlife Coast Cruises. I shared a great day of sightseeing with a good bunch of people. The staff are experts in their job and are always very knowledgable and friendly.

Skull Rock was truly magnificent. There were just too many highlights to choose just one ... I loved the seals, the whales, Skull Rock and the beef for lunch.

If anyone is spending time around P.I., I highly recommend booking a trip with Wildlife Coast Cruises. I have been on many of these trips now and they are a lot of fun. Or you can have fun just doing a cruise on a day trip from Melbourne.

The courtesy bus pick up was very much appreciated as it saved me a long late night drive back to Melbourne.

We were really surprised at how amazing this cruise was and how accommodating the tour guides were. The scenery that they took us through were marvelous and gave us a great insight on every one of the bay's attractions. The tour guides were easy going so we felt comfortable asking any questions, and they were extremely knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. I don't travel well on boats so the fact that they gave out free motion sickness tablets and explained the pros and cons on each location of the seats on the boat. All in all, a wonderful experience that is entertaining for all ages.
