Jam packed and fun
Feb. 2020
This tour is a great way to see a lot of sights in one go, and while you make a lot of stops, we never felt like we didn't have enough time at any one of them. Some destinations were definitely more interesting than others, but the ones we weren't as excited about were accordingly shorter stops, so we never felt bored.

The first part of the tour is pretty easy riding as far as the tour trucks go, but once you start your way up the the Secret Garden and the mountaintop lookout, things start to get more bumpy. That's what makes it fun, though! Riding on the roof of the truck was by far our favorite part, but even bumping around in the back was fun too. There are 10 people per group, all of which easily fit into the bed of the pickup truck (the trucks have been retrofitted with a step-up, benches, seat belts, and a canopy to shelter you from the rain... which we needed at a couple points!).

Really glad we took this tour, and would recommend for anyone wanting something slightly more adventurous than just getting driven around the island in a van.

BEWARE
Beware if you are over 40 or if stairs are a problem.
While the tour did go to the places it said it would, nowhere was there a warning stating that 50% of the tour would be bouncing through 3 foot deep ruts and hanging on for dear life. Nor does it say anywhere that you had to be able to step up 3 feet to be able to get into the jeep itself. There was no stepstool which would’ve made it possible for me to get in the back. I had to sit in the front in the air-conditioned cab which I’m not complaining about except for the fact that the person I was traveling with was stuck in the bag hanging on for dear life as her back spasmed while bouncing and rocking back-and-forth. She does not have a bad back but her back started spasming. She was screaming in pain by the time we stopped at a lookout point. We were traveling with two other jeeps and an able-bodied young tour guide was sitting in the front with the driver in one of the jeeps. My friend had to yell and be adamant that she was not going to get back in to the back of the jeep that she had to be in the front and that the able-bodied young tour person needed to sit in the back at least until we got down off the mountain. It got to be quite an ugly scene because the tour drivers and guides were inflexible and I accommodating. They said they could not help her. She said all I needed was to get into the front until we were down to the bottom and it took a whole lot of yelling for them to allow her to do that. She told me later she would’ve walked down that mountain rather than gotten in the back. When we stopped for lunch, the car that she was in the front seat of left early without her (we believe it was on purpose) She was furious and frustrated and was forced to get in the back since they had no step stool. We considered getting a taxi and leaving the tour.
The Magic Garden was about 50 steps down (no hand rail) in a ravine. It was actually the reason I booked this particular tour. Because it was going to the magic garden. Again nowhere did it say that the magic garden was not accessible for those with mobility issues.
The waterfall also has many steps leading down. The only warning given was that the big Buddha had many steps leading up. I accepted the fact that I was not going to walk up and I knew that I ahead of time. These other problems only become evident as we pulled up to a place. The description of the tour is severely lacking in its description of the activity level needed to enjoy this tour. It’s for under 40 years olds. Not for 60+.
It was a 5 hour tour which lasted well over 7 hours in stifling heat and humidity the only water we got was one bottle at a restaurant with an tasteless lunch.
And just to top things off we were driven right past our hotel by 15 minutes to let someone else off before us.
My friend is absolutely LIVID right now. And she has every right to be. The tour is supposed to be five hours and it was well over seven. We were given one bottle of water. She was bounced around from one side to the other and heat and humidity. The warning does say no one with back problems but she did NOT have back problems BEFORE this trip. Now she does. It also says no one with wheelchair accessibility, but I am not wheelchair-bound. I simply have trouble with stairs. The description of the trip also does not mention the fact that you will be bounced from here to eternity for over an hour. The mention of four wheeling does not mean that kind of extreme. Four wheeling simply means that you are not on a paved road.
Also the driver didn’t know where he was going and had to call for directions or follow one of the other jeeps.
Simply put: do not book this tour. The only thing we saw that an air conditioned van couldn’t get to is a mountain top view. Not worth the pain, aggravation, and abuse we just went through.

Dear valued customers, Thank you for your review and sorry for any inconvenice which may caused! We are pleased to take your feedback to improve our services for further customers. In this case, we have done in deep investigated from our tour guide, driver, and the team at restaurants, therefore please allow me to have a chance to clarify your mentioned: - Sitting in the back with 4WD, we show real vehicle's photo on the product for customers can assume that they would sit in the back. - Tour guide sitting in the front, it's the proper way of this tour as siiting in the back with 4WD goes through the jungle on the mountain is a highlight of this tour, you can see more scenery from behind or even siiting on the top. - Duration of this tour is mentioned clearly on the program for 7 hours not 5 hours - Drinking water, we have ice box with cold water under the seat in the back of vehicle. Our tour guides always inform the customers to grab it during the trip as we know under the heat you may want some water to make fresh. Also at the restaurant, they provide unlimit. - Warning of no wheelchair and back problem is specific mentioned of this tour to give customers aware on their phisical and customers can evaluate themselves, however we would make its more cleared on our descriptions. Other points mentioned would be taken action to make better customers' satisfactions. Best regards, Jiggy

Great way to see Koh Samui
Aug. 2019 • Family
A great day out. The Jeep was fun and we managed to see lots of Koh Samui’s ‘must see’ sights. Well organised, even though we were cut slightly short by torrential rain.
Food and view from the jungle restaurant were both amazing.

Fun and great value
We had a fantastic day with Jeab and April as our guides. This tour is just what we were looking for: the major sights on the island including lunch and hotel pick up and drop off. My husband and kids enjoyed sitting up at the top of the 4 x 4 when we went off-roading.

Although it is listed as a half-day tour, from 9 am - 1 pm, the tour at 3:30 pm for us today.
