About the operator

- 708nikhilm0 contributionsExtremely overpriced, arrogant driver & overhypedFleecing Money from tourists seems to be the only objective of this trip vendor. Extremely overpriced & arrogant driver.Written 19 January 2025
- zevenel0 contributionsNature close upWe would recommend this birdwatching tour . We were picked up on time by the driver from our hotel, a good transport experience, we were even bought a local Sri Lankan snack on the way home. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable as he lived just on the side of the lagoon. We had an early start to try to catch the birds early morning and we felt like we were the only boat on the lake. A very peaceful couple of hours among the mangrove inlets and on the lagoon. We saw a wide variety of birds including 2 types of kingfisher . Snacks were provided during the trip.Written 10 January 2025
- Dreamer8124240 contributionsAmazing Experience, Highly RecommendedFantastic experience with lots of good surprises. Loved the Madu River boat safari. The driver Roshan was very good. The only downside was the tour cost covers the drive but not entry fees which were not insubstantial for the boat safari and turtle sanctuary - expect to pay.around 20,000 LKR for these per person (around $70) plus lunch. Worth knowing in advance and cash was needed / expected for some of that.Written 6 January 2025
- Tanya F0 contributionsGreat day trip!We had a great day trip to Galle! Can’t remember the name of our tour guide but we booked it for Xmas day not realising it was such a big holiday but he was a great guy! Got to see so much in one day and our guide was very informative! Would definitely recommend this day trip! The scenery down the coast is beautiful!Written 5 January 2025
- 334frank0 contributionsAmazing trip to GalleI had an amazing trip to Galle with Mr. Gayan.I was able to learn a lot about Sri Lanka, their culture, tradition and way of life. Mr. Gayan was kind enough to take me to a couple of restaurants and had an awesome Sri Lankan breakfast and lunch. He maintains a clean car and was on time to pick you up early in the morning. He was quite flexible and also does other day trips and multi-day trips. Galle absolutely wonderful.Written 30 December 2024
- riron20150 contributionsA wonderful journeyI would like to tell you about our self-organized trip to Lanka for over 22 days in November-December 2024. We are two women in our late sixties and seventies based in Kolkata, India, and our itinerary was Kolkata to CMB via Chennai (this was a longish journey with one stop) flying through cyclone Fenjala, car pickup from CMB for the longish transfer to Anuradhapura for 1 night (everywhere we could see was flooded, with elephants standing patiently by the highways), on to Habarana for 2 nights to use it as base for Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya (more elephants wandering about!), then onto Kandy via Dambulla (disappointing) and the Noritake factory outlet at Matale (also disappointing for small souvenir pieces and gift items). The site museums at Polo and Sigiriya were informative and the artefacts well-presented. We did not climb Sigiriya Rock as it was getting late, for that reason we would recommend 3 nights stay at Habarana, instead of the 2 nights as we did. We left the car and driver at Kandy. After resting at Kandy for 4 nights we took a long car drop to Tangalle, then subsequent drops to Galle, Mount Lavinia Hotel and finally to Colombo which merits a short stay in itself instead of just passing through. We arrived just before Christmas, celebrations were everywhere and the city was lit up. Quite lovely. Now, a few points which may be useful for future travellers. (1) We had 7 stops in all: A'pura (1 N), Habarana (2 N), Kandy (4 N), Tangalle (6 N), Galle (3 N), Mount Lav (3 N) and Colombo (2 N), and we booked an alternate mix of simple guesthouses and star hotels which helped us recharge and also cut down costs. (2) Plentiful supermarkets (Cargills and Keels, we also stopped at an Arpico) en route, where we could stock up on Lion beer, rolls, butter, cheese, and cold cuts. We were impressed with the range of fresh pork products SL supermarkets offered. (3) We hired a car and driver through Jagath Tours, they were recommended by a Lankan friend, they gave us very good service although the driver was opinionated and often rude. However, he did stop en route if requested and he did not pressurize us to buy things from shops. An added bonus to having our own transport was we could stop at the Dankutowa Porcelain outlet near Negombo en route to A'pura, and at the late SL architect Geoffrey Bawa's Kandalama Estate for a cup of tea en route for Kandy. Kandalama is now a star property, very lovely, situated on a lake from where you see Sigiriya Rock while sipping a cup of tea. (4) For some strange reason our Kandy guesthouse cancelled a day before we were supposed to arrive citing a spurious landslide (we were told later that sudden cancellation was a common occurrence in SL), and we had to hurriedly re-book which was stressful. But it was really a blessing in disguise because we got a twin with breakfast at Hotel Casamara at an excellent rate. Casamara is centrally located on Kandy Lake. A fantastic choice, because the room was large, everything was walkable, a Cargills was opposite, and the front desk led by Mr. Saman was very helpful. Other lakeside hotels are at quite a distance, as the lake is huge. We went to the cultural show at Kandy, it was well presented and not too long. (5) Fearing further landslides due to Fenjal that was still hovering around, we cancelled our Ella booking--a pity. (6) Tangalle was lovely, we stayed 6 nights at Mallika GH, the owners made us feel at home. We went to the fish market at Tangalle harbour early one morning when the trawlers were coming in, it was quite a sight. (6) We stayed at the Old Dutch House in Galle (owner Mr.Kingsley), again very centrally located in Galle with good food (at an extra cost), next door a fantastic jewellery store--Fort Art Jewels (owner Mr. Shamil)--and Elita Seafood Restaurant a 2 min walk up the road. (7) Mount Lavinia is a suburb of Colombo. Mount Lavinia Hotel is a lovely old-style resort hotel in a fantastic location, we got a twin with breakfast, and we just spent 3 days lounging around. A couple of cafes down the road if you want to skip the hotel meals, but not much to do in the public beach, and when we went no good beach side cafes were open. (8) We stayed in the Fairway at Colombo (Fort area), a hotel we recommend, again very centrally located, with Pettah Market a short tuk-tuk drive away. We were pestered by tuk-tuk drivers who insisted on taking us to various shops, and when we refused, they sulked. We liked the Fort area in Colombo. (9) After dropping Mr. Jagath's car in Kandy we organised our subsequent drops (right up until the final drop off at CMB to catch the flight home) through Mr. Amith, a tuk-tuk driver we met in Tangalle. He has excellent contacts all along the south and southwest coast. (10) Sri Lanka's highways are smoooth. (11) Sri Lankan arrack is very nice and smooth. Hope this trip account helps.Written 28 December 2024

- Maurice1160 contributionsSelect carefully the stopsBasically a nice trip, but avoid spending additional money to the Ahungalla Sea Life Center, which brings you a terrible animal experience and not worth the entrance fee. The lake boat trip is neither worth the high cost. Add the Community Tsunami Education Center & Museum in Hikkaduwa. Galle Fort is nice!Written 11 December 2024
- Eswar K0 contributionsModerate visit. Not much animal except few elephants. Jeep and guide are ok but they have no knowledge on animal sporting. Not much animals only few elephants. Tour guide don't know where to see animals. Timings are fine and jeep are comfortableWritten 10 December 2024

- K6469AYrebeccac0 contributionsGreat Time In Tamil NaduWe recently visited Tamil Nadu for two weeks traveling over 3000 kilometers with our driver, Dilip. Dilip was a very safe, courteous driver and also very informative regarding the places we visited. When we visited his home town, his wife and daughter joined us for the day to go around the city to see the sites and temples. In the evening, they arranged for us to visit their family's temple where they had organized an evening of live classical Indian music and classical Indian dance/Bharatanatyam. This was followed by a lovely dinner. It was a very special evening--one we will not forget. We recommend The Tour My India Travels if you are planning a trip in India. - L8862BPstaceyf0 contributionsSharminder is amazing. Book the adventure!Sharminder was amazing. We had a great day, and I felt very comfortable traveling by myself. He took me to great locations and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. Additionally, I spent a couple of days prior to this trip traveling with Sharminder with friends. We had an excellent time then as well. I would highly recommend! 5 stars!Written 17 November 2024
