Whilst you are learning about cooking, you will also taste a ‘meze’ a Greek appetizer with ouzo.  You will learn how to start a wood burning oven so that we can roast our food. Whilst we are waiting for lunch to be cooked you can enjoy a cycling or walking tour around the olive groves & vineyards. We can visit a branch of the Mt. Athos Byzantine Monastery or see the secret school from the Ottoman era or we can go on a discovery walk through the narrow streets of the village. Absolute must-do in Kalamata
Mar. 2020
Our family of five (with two young children) visited from Arizona during the off-season in Kalamata. Inna was kind enough to give us a modified farm tour despite it being the off-season. It was hand-downs the highlight of our entire trip. The farm is stunning, Inna was so kind, the authentic greek lunch was amazing and we learned so much about beekeeping, olive oil pressing, and gardening. I can’t speak highly enough about this tour. A must do!

Dear Kalie, Ryan and Hanna good day, Thank you very much for your nice review. We started season a little earlier this year by opening our farm for your group regardless the performed works in progress. Please accept our apologize for the mess and no full provided services. Its our policy and within the Greek Filoxenia rules, no to leave disappointed guests. Always we try to give to our guests experiences, touches, tastes, aromas but mostly pictures to remember from our homeland Messinia and our culture and heritage. All these what you saw yesterday, are part of the "Mediterranean Diet" which we follow in our daily family living and we are proud to share with our guests and transfer to our kids and next generations. We will be glad to see you again! Kind regards Peter + Inna

Kalamata Authentic Greek Day at Peter and Inna's Farm, with cooking lesson and lunch
Sep. 2019
Messinia Sailing/ My GReen Life is a family-owned business. What a fantastic way to get to know Greek hospitality and culture than through hosts Peter and Inna’s farm in the Kalamata Countryside, with ocean view from farm. In true farm style, chickens and geese roam around freely together with several other farm animals. There is a small church on the highest point of the farm. Inna taught me to make traditional Greek stuffed vegetables which Peter cooked in a wood-fired oven. The rest of the family assisted in making a traditional barbeque of beef, lamb, and pork while Inna further taught me to make fresh tzatziki and a variety of meat, salad and vegetable dressings. We went on a tour through the farm to see where all the vegetables, fruits and olives are produced and learned about cultivation and harvesting of the fresh-grown produce. After an amazing late-lunch with a fantastic family, Inna sent me off home with some farm-fresh eggs, vegetables, and fruit. Peter gave me a brief historical tour of Kalamata en route back to my accommodation on Narvarinou street. What a happy experience.

It was our pleasure to have your nice company in the farm and we enjoy your jokes especially this with the "S.African women chicken salad". Thanks your nice review. It gives us courage to continue our job with passion and love for our culture and heritage, and to give to our guests small tastes, aromas and pictures of them. We will be glad to see you again. Kind regards Peter + Inna
