Was amazed by how many turtles we got to see! Staff were nice and friendly. We got picked/dropped off to and from our hotel which made it super duper handy. Recommend ⭐️🌟🌟🌟

Please don't make the mistake i and many other have. I purchased a voucher for a combined boat and get ski licence via Groupon. In order to book your course in you have to call the company, when i called they don't answer and advise you for anything urgent to email and they will contact you. No response via email so I decided to call again In the evening. I managed to speak to someone who told me there was availability for Sunday 10 November. They requested my Groupon security code but seem to be purposely repeating the code back to me incorrectly. I was told I would be emailed a link to complete my online training as required before you attend. 24 hours passed by and no email was sent, the email I sent was also not responded to. I decided to call again. After calling 8 times they finally answered. I explain I hadn't yet received my email maria (manager) asked for my name I told her and she said yes it was sent yesterday. I said :well I haven't got it." Then silence I waited 10 seconds or so for a response and got none so I said " perhaps there was a miscommunication with my email address?" She repeated my email back to me and assured me she would re send the email. After wait a few hours I started feeling suspiciously as it's 2024 and email should be basically instant. I started doing some snooping and found on all platforms (Facebook,Groupon, google, ect.) That though they had 5 star reviews the 1 stars reviews i started reading were basically horror story's of dissapointed family's and individual who had, had there trips rescheduled with no notice, had requested refunds and being told that they were sent and it's up to their bank. Many people reported having terrible dealing with maria herself In person. Honestly the list just goes on and on! At this point I'm certain that their plan was to make it impossible for me to actually book the test and in return pocking the money from my voucher($350) for themselves.

If you think this is for a tour with everyone snorkelling you are absolutely wrong. This tour is primarily for scuba divers with the add on for people wanting to snorkel. Snorkellers - you wait for the scuba divers. If you are over a size 16 - they do not have wet suits for you. I waited all year for my bucket list 60th Birthday treat to swim with turtles. They cancelled ( via email) on the 10th October for the trip on 11th October stating it was due to weather conditions. On 11th they rang us at 6.30am asking where we were! They rescheduled for 12th October. We turned up on the 12th. No wet suits to fit. They had lost the previously completed " insurance" forms so we redid them then were told we were on the scuba trip! We cancelled and did not get a refund. As older people we were treated like second class citizens. Terrible experience.

The instructors, Diego and Karolina were very knowledgeable, professional and fun. Their standard of client care was of the highest order and they both went over and above to make sure everything and everyone was taken care of. Safety was always paramount, and teaching seemed second nature to them. The rest of the team were also fantastic, making for a memorable, fun and educational course.

After sending an email to Luis for a course inquiry and receiving no response from him or the dive center, I called numerous times and spoke to store manager Maria, who promised to send me an email but unfortunately received no response from her. After over a week, I directly attended the dive center, seeking basic information about the course that they are running, and again, she said that she would send me an email by the same day in the afternoon. I received no email or call. After 2 days, when I called her again to follow up, she was rude and unprofessional. I cannot trust doing any course with this dive center.

Cook island was amazing. Emily and Diego were super nice . Though it was a bit disorganised at first at the shop once we got under rent was great.

I got a great experience with them, I arrived early and there they were opening on time after a public holiday day. We got a couple of breafings (one in the centre, another one in the boat), we went to the marina and got the equipment I needed and in the way I made some friends. Some people struggle in the first dive so they were kind enough to don't force it (some centres takes you to the dive and If you have a bad experience because of the current the apply the "is not my problem"rule, they didn't) and we moved to a more relaxed dive point in the area. The dives were great, we saw lepard sharks and mantas. Marcos was a great dive partner and guide, helpong me with the weight (I need to get fit and be stable with it ;) ) , plus helping in the second dive to other people haveing a better experience, I liked his chilled mentality and relax attitude, it helps when some people get stressed. Wrapping up, great experience willing to repeat in my trip back to Gold Coast.

To The owner, manager and staff of the Gold Coast Dive and Tour Centre, I would like to share my appreciation to such an incredible Snorkelling with Turtles adventure at Cooks Island. Your staff put safety first and guided my three daughters towards the important instructions when snorkelling with turtles in their nature surroundings. My daughters Norma, Blanca and Mahela were truly amazed at how close they got to the numerous sea creatures and it’s and experience they will cherish. They felt comfortable knowing that the staff were nearby at all times. Your staff were approachable, polite and helpful. The atmosphere they created was friendly and welcoming. The most amazing Dive Center, with great teachers! My experience with Jonny, Diego, Indo and Heitor was more than I expected. Will definitely come back for more!!

Great staff / dive masters. Good communication throughout. Awesome dive around Cook Island. The bbq hotdog lunch was pretty decent.

We went there with a group of 5. We went to the location in a bus and they were well aware that there are 15 people including instructor and boat driver. Still they didn't plan it well. We had to wait for an hour to get onto boat as the Max limit was 14 on the boat. Instructor did a great job full points to her. The boat which dropped us to location of snorkelling disappeared and they had all of our belongings such as phones, sunglasses, slides etc. After finishing snorkelling they forgot to pick us up. We had to wait there for another 45 mins and coincidently their another boat was there which took us to another end of the island. On the pick up location we waited for another 25 mins again with barefoot and no other belongings. Somehow we reached to their office and had to wait for another 25mins as the boat which had our belongings wasn't there yet. We complained this to the manager (old grumpy lady). The attitude was worst and she wasn't even apologetic for the inconvenience caused. My partner got heat stroke and puked 3 times. The manger was like she is making it up. How careless and insensitive you can be for any human being. Anyone planning to go there, advise please look for alternative options as the boss here cares for money only. She is arrogant, rude and misbehaves with customers.

Certified dive to Cook Islands was amazing. Great boat ride out, awesome guides and a quick refresher on the scuba techniques. Loved the entire day and the bbq between dives. We will definitely do it again.

The course was professionally run, the facilities were great, the trainers were knowledgeable and you really learned they key skills required. I had no prior diving experience before attending this course and as someone in my 60's, I was somewhat apprehensive about doing the course. I would highly recommend the crew at the Gold Coast Dive Centre to anyone who would like to take up Scuba Diving.

I purchased the Open Water Dive Course (for two) as a gift to my brother for his 21st Birthday. Purchasing, booking and all correspondence from Groupon and GC Dive Centre was clear and easy. Day 1 we arrived at 6:45am to begin a day of theory and prac. There’s a canteen at the pool, but I wish I packed a few extra snacks as it was a longer day than anticipated; finishing at around 4:30pm! Day 2 & 3 we spent diving (Tweed River and Wave Break Island) and applying what we had learnt in the ocean. This was an amazing experience and has left both my brother and I eager to move forward with our new hobby and book some more dives now that we are officially certified! Overall, I cannot recommend this dive centre enough, but particularly the team and our instructors (Jonny, Joaquin, Helena & Diego). Everyone was seriously just so positive and patient. An excellent experience generally speaking but made even better by everyone that had a part to play during our 3 day course. A memory I hope to have for many more years to come. Went snorkeling at Wave Break Island. A complete waste of time, visibility was terrible. You obviously can't blame that on the company, but (1) given they are there every day I suspect they may have known in advance (but sold us on the experience anyway), & (2) they didn't seem particularly bothered by the fact it was woeful - I guess we'd already paid by then!! From what I saw I also suspect it isn't that great an experience even in good conditions. If you're looking for a good tropical snorkeling trip, from our experience, this is certainly not it.
