I brought my friends, who had not surfed before, for a lesson st Karrawa, I was so impressed with this surf school! The instructors were so thorough and encouraging! The 2hr lesson was broken down to two parts: theory on ocean safety and how to handle the board in the water, practice on this, followed by more theory on how to pop up and practice. I dare say most of the class stood up on the board by the end of the session. Everyone had fun. Brilliant outcome! Highly recommend these guys!

Amazing fun, great instructors...very welcoming to all ages....never too old to tick surfing off the bucket list.

We had a 2 hour lesson with Blake at Broadbeach. Blake was easy going and calm, he explained the lesson plan and how to surf well. We were really pleased with the amount of one on one time in the ocean we got to practise surfing. Blake was able to set us up with waves so we could put into practice what we had learnt on land. We really enjoyed the lesson (and both got to catch several waves standing) and would highly recommend!

I had the best surfing lesson (beginner) with Damo today. He was just a brilliant coach, knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging person. Fortunate enough to have a 1:1 lesson and he continually helped me with my skills, technique and kept me safe within the water, whilst helping me “catch good waves” and successfully stand up and surf!! If you want a great company and teacher you can’t go past Go Ride a Wave- Broadbeach!!

The instructor Damian was awesome. Very patient and encouraging. My 3 teenage daughters had a great time. Lots of fun and they all got up on the boards fairly quickly especially for their first attempt at surfing. Information and emails were all very informative and clear.

My girls age 10 and 12 had a great lesson with Lochie today, so friendly, professional and fun. Thank you Lochie we will be back next time we are down 😁

The instructors Jason and Zander were awesome. My 7 yr old especially enjoyed himself. I was so surprised at how well the class was run, considering there was a wide range of ages participating. Well done. We will be back,

We booked a lesson for my granddaughter who is 8 and was with us for a week on holidays from Sydney and I only wish now we had done this on day 1 of her holidays as it was the best money I spent all week. Mia had an absolute wonderful time with her surf coach Liam . Cannot praise him highly enough. So much patience and Mia was standing up after 45mins I was blown away and totally look forward to the next school holidays when she visits ago and surf lessons will be our first stop. Best money we spent all week. I plan on looking at getting a board to keep here for her. Highly recommend this company very professional, extremely reasonable prices and great coach. Thankyou for making my granddaughter so happy.

Our 14 yo son did 2 lessons with Jason who was fantastic. He was friendly, chatty and very encouraging. The conditions weren't great for the first lesson and was cut 1/2 hour short, so he was rebooked for a second lesson. Highly recommended.

Went with Family and two kids to Broadbeach Qld ,did the lesson with Zander. They were nervous at first but Zander was great in making them feel comfortable. My son Josh absolutely loved it and wants to go back again with Zander.. Thanks Zander

This is our first surfing lesson and everything was explained in detail. We were given a red top so the coach was easy to spot us.They even provided sun screens. You can keep all your belongings in their locked van. I would suggest you bring a bottle of water to the beach. Because it got really thirsty to soak in water for 2 hours. They let us try knee on the board in the beginning and most of us can do it. Then they will explain more to teach how to stand up and a few of us success.

Our sons, 8.5 & 10, loved their lessons with Go Ride A Wave in Broadbeach. The staff were kind, funny & knowledgeable. They engaged brilliantly with the boys, a good mix of helping them and having them give it a go on their own all while making them laugh & smile. They were given the 3 session lessons as a Christmas Gift from their Grandma, the perfect holiday gift for kids who already have too much stuff - an experience they won’t quickly forget 😀 Thank You!

Claire and Liam were amazing at Broadbeach. Made everyone feel comfortable and very good teachers with a good sense of humor.
