- T L0 contributionsGreat day trip with ChiChiGreat guy, very friendly and made a fun boat trip with snorkeling and beach stay. We saw a lot of fish and dolphins and could swim with them. Afterwards we went to a area with turtles which was also greatWritten 25 November 2024
- miguelcG6922VO0 contributionsBest trip ever!I recently joined the Half Day Dolphin Snorkeling Tour at Mnemba Island, and it was an unforgettable experience! The tour was well-organized, and the team ensured that we had plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful marine life. Snorkeling alongside dolphins in such clear waters was magical. What made the experience even better was our guide. Their expertise, kindness, and knowledge of the area truly stood out. If you’re looking for the best guide to elevate your Zanzibar adventures, I highly recommend contacting +255 773 653 125. They made the trip even more special, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!Written 24 November 2024
- 47_ar_nasb0 contributionsVery nice!Very nice trip! Certainly one to recommend. Chichi and Adam did everything to make it a spectacular one! The dolphins, snorkelling and especially fruits in the shallow waters of Mnemba island was a fantastic experience. Thanks again Chichi!!!Written 1 November 2024
- Dee_Traveling_Foodie0 contributionsAmazing Excursion, but….This excursion was really amazing, but the itinerary varied vastly from what was advertised. Traffic around the island is horrible, so getting around to the different locations is a challenge. However, despite the derivative, my husband and I had a great time. We were picked up from our Hotel RIU Jambo at 8am. Our tour guide, Mohamed, informed us as soon as we took off that we probably wouldn’t visit all of the stops listed in our itinerary. From reading previous reviews, we knew this was a possibility. Before heading to our first stop, we informed Mohamed that my husband wouldn’t be able to participate in horseback riding due to the weight restrictions (90kg is the max and I myself am just below that), so we were ok with skipping that stop. We also hoped that would free up time to ensure we were able to hit all of the other locations. Our first stop was Mnemba Island. My husband was able to swim with the dolphins, we dined on some fresh fruit and took pictures on the sand bank. The island was really amazing. The water is gorgeous blue and crystal clear, it reminds me of the waters at Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos. Our next stop would have been Kendwa beach, but we were told that the beach was closer to our hotel which was over 45 minutes away from Mnemba. We were also told taking pictures in the clear kayak were extra and may not even have been available. So we decided to skip Kendwa, again, hoping to save time. It would have been nice to have visited this beach first though, since it was so close to our hotel. Our next stop was to the spice farm. I believe that it was called Kidichi. The tour was wonderful. It was fun guessing the different spices through feel, smell and sometimes taste. It was very interesting to see how spices are grown before they hit our kitchen cabinets. Unfortunately, there were no ATVs. After the tour, we went to the Swahili cooking class with Murtala. This was our favorite stop in the tour! Cooking in the jungle kitchen was most certainly a different, yet highly welcomed experience. We learned a lot and the meal we created was so delicious and packed with maximum flavor!! While the cooking class was an amazing experience, it lasted over three hours. So we decided to just end the tour there. As mentioned before, despite the varying schedule, this tour was really amazing. Many thanks to our tour guide, Mohmed and our driver Haji for showing us an amazing time! My final thoughts, booked the excursion, but we opened-minded and flexible.Written 19 October 2024
- Alba R0 contributionsAmazing experienceWe had the most incredible day on this excursion with our guide Mohamed and our driver Haji! The snorkeling was absolutely amazing, with crystal-clear waters and stunning marine life. The cooking class with Murtala was so much fun and engaging that we completely lost track of time, and unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to the last stop at the Emerson Hotel. However, the day was still fantastic overall and we had the best dinner. After the cooking lessons, it was getting a bit late, but Murtala was incredibly kind and opened his spice farm just for us. He even brought a fresh jackfruit for us to try, which was such a special touch. They were all so thoughtful and attentive throughout the entire day. I would definitely do this again — it was a truly unforgettable experience!Written 10 October 2024
- accferreira19950 contributionsAmazing experience in Zanzibar! We had an amazing day with our guide Mohamed and our driver Haji. They were very caring and paid attention to our needs. The activities we liked the most were snorkeling and the Swahili cooking class with Murtala. No words to describe this experience! It's a must. I'm just giving 4 stars because we couldn't do everything that was on our schedule. The driving distances between some activities could be a bit long, which also took some time from our day. Maybe giving the guests optional activities beforehand could avoid that. But I must say that our guide and driver did their best to fit the activities and organize the schedule. Overall, the experience was amazing!Written 10 October 2024
- 980daminip0 contributionsMust do experience! This was probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever done! Our guide, Chichi, was great as he did his best to ensure we saw the dolphins. You can either swim or just look at the dolphins from the boat. We decided to snorkel with them which was epic. It was also great because our guide took some videos for us on our phone so we could just enjoy the experience whilst capturing it for our memories. We also did the sand bank and fish snorkelling. We were also provided with fruit and water on the trip. 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting Zanzibar! We also did a tour of stone town, prison island and the turtle swimming with the same guide on different days. Great guy!Written 22 September 2024
- Ameerah S0 contributionsPerfect for short staysThe island tour in Zanzibar was an exciting adventure! The driver and guide were so friendly and amazing! From snorkeling and kayaking in crystal-clear waters to exploring spices and riding horses, every moment felt like a new discovery. The boat ride between islands was thrilling, with stunning views of the coastline and opportunities to spot some dolphins. We had a blast swimming, trying out water sports, and cooking in front of a breathtaking view of a forest. I’m giving it 4 stars because while the adventure aspect was amazing, we were not able to visit the last destination, which was the Emerson restaurant due to timing and after cooking at the spice farm it felt as though we had dinner already. A better plan would be to put the cooking class near lunch time so one would have space for dinner. Overall, though, it was an action-packed experience hoping from one place to the next. I’d highly recommend to adventures, friends and lovers.Written 11 September 2024
- jessicacD8679DX0 contributionsGreat day outWe had an amazing day Abdul was a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the place we visited. There was some time in the can but it was worth it for the great snorkelling and boat trips.Written 29 August 2024
- dmitryd00 contributionsMmemba island tripA good professionally organized trip despite rough sea. We could both snorkel followed by Chi Chi’s assistant and swim with dolphins. Our safety was a priority. Fruits fresh and nice. Can definitely recommend Chi Chi as a trustworthy partner.Written 26 August 2024
- ho0000040 contributionsGreat boat ride!Friendly crew! Dedicated to making this experience as good as possible. No dolphins seen in the afternoon. Crew said Dolphins usually only seen in the early morning. We did see colorful and beautiful fish near the sand bar. Water was a bit choppy. Didn’t feel safe to see the coral in deeper water areas. Wish there were life jackets on our skiff. Only 2 of the ten boats out on the water looked like they carried life jackets.Written 17 August 2024
- 569pankajp0 contributionsBrilliant tripIncredible trip and we were very pleased to not only see dolphins but get up close and swim with them. CHICHI was a very good host and took care of all needs and ensured we got up close with the Dolphins.Written 7 August 2024

- novotnyo0 contributionsAmazing snorkelling tripIt was a super exciting experience for the whole family (two adults and two kids 10 and 14 years old). The trip had three stops: swimming with dolphins, snorkelling in coral gardens with plenty of colourful fish, and searching for starfish. Every stop was great. We never thought we could swim so close to dolphins. If we were lucky we had them even 1 m from us. Chichi and his captain were very patient with us and searched for the best places to see them as close as possible. They always told us when was the right time to jump into the water to have the best views and experience swimming next to them. Truly amazing! Coral gardens were beautiful with tons of colourful fish around us (sometimes also thanks to the food our captain used to entice them). During the last stop near Mnemba Island, our captain was diving and bringing the starfish on the board. Within less than 5 minutes he has collected four of them. We had a great time with Chichi and his captain during this trip. Chichi is very friendly, and flexible, and provides good tips for snorkelling. He has a very good price (much cheaper than in our hotel). Moreover, we had a private boat only for our family which was also cool. The fruit he offered (pineapple and watermelon) was the best we have tasted during our stay in Zanzibar. We can only recommend going with Chichi for this trip!Written 28 July 2024
