We provide the best dang tour this area has to offer. Our company lives by the motto ‘Honesty, Integrity, and Respect’ and we would love the opportunity to serve you while in this area. The only company that visits this area. Way beyond sightseeing, explorational and interactive; a true off-road Jeep tour experience! Stopping at spots that interest you - drinking fresh rainwater out of rock pools or taking a bite out of a prickly pear cactus. We love to chase lizards and enjoy the snakes from a distance. Reach 5,300 ft. elevation, 30 miles of trail. Perfect mesh of history, geology, and pristine high desert. Views that rival the Grand Canyon! Offers peace, solitude and serenity. Our guides break the mold (knowledge on history, geology, how Native Americans lived thousands of years ago). Providing 360 degree views. In this industry, you get what you pay for, quality costs money; we don’t apologize for the quality of our tours. NOTE: No off-road tour company is allowed within ZNP.

Great mix of education & adventure. Our guide, Nicole, bantered with our young son about stories of the weird while expertly navigating us over insane terrain. She took us to breath-taking views encompassing the entire Zion Nat’l Park & a ghost town. Definitely recommend.

We actually went one day after we were originally booked, as one of the Jeeps had mechanical issues the first day. This actually proved to be very fortunate because the next day had much more visibility and we were planned with Joel, who along with being very knowledgeable in geography and history from decades in the area, was also a very good driver who navigated some pretty challenging terrain while still keeping it calm enough that it was a comfortable ride. Joel is passionate about giving the best and most informative tour possible and was very interactive with the four of us on his tour. Joel knew all the best photo op locations and even found several geological artifacts such as petrified wood and even explained how several people in the area have found Native American artifacts. Finally, Joel was not in a hurry to “punch the clock” and gave us every minute we paid for and even a bit more. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

Your tour guide Joel would like to say, "I'm so happy I got to take you guys up there!! We had a great view that day, didn't we? You all had some great questions, which makes being your guide even more fun. I hope you all enjoyed the rest of your trip out here. Safe travels, and thanks again for choosing ZCORT!"

I took3 teenage boys (17 &18 years old) and my 20 year old daughter and I (age 50) on the 3+ hour ATV tour. We had a blast. Our guide, Preston, was really fantastic. He was a great communicator. He explained everything so we knew what to expect. He made sure everyone was comfortable and happy. He watched who was more comfortable and wanted to go faster and he allowed for that, but still kept the group together. He pointed out interesting information about Zion and plants and it’s history a bit when we stopped a couple times at some incredible views. Every representative of the company we encountered was very friendly and helpful. I loved it and the my daughter and son and their friends have not stopped talking about it. We all agreed our guide Preston, was top notch and we would absolutely recommend him and the ride and the company.

1. On a four hour tour, I expected the tour to make a minimum of 5-6 stops, where I could take photographs of beautiful panoramas.

It made only one, that lasted no more than 15 minutes.

2. I expected to learn a lot about the history and geology of the area, as advertised in your website.

I learned nothing and your guide/Jeep driver hardly even mentioned either of these subjects during the entire four hours we were on the Jeep.

3. Your ad mentioned that “drinks and snacks would be offered, and there was only drinks- no snacks.

4. I expected at least some of the area we traversed to be either interesting or scenic. Conversely, it was quite mundane and boring. No flowers, no wildlife, no scenic cliffs. Nothing but scrub plants and desert.

5. Our Jeep stopped at a few other places along the way besides the main one at the end, but none of them were noteworthy in any way, and at our ages we were unwilling to climb dangerous cliffs to get to them.

In summation, your website claims you are a company with “integrity” but having experienced a tour that claims to provide so much, but actually provides so little, I can certainly claim that this assessment is clearly a gross exaggeration.

We call BS on your review. You contradict yourself on how many times we stopped and if you don’t want to walk where the guide goes because of your age that’s your choice and not a reflection of our tour. In summation, may we suggest you were in a bad mood to begin with. Clearly it was more important for you to leave a negative review than give us a call to discuss your dissatisfaction. With all due respect there is only so much information a guide can discuss regarding the use of plants, native wildlife, and local history. If the guest does not find beauty riding through the desert on an off-road jeep trail with surprises around each corner, we don’t know what more we could do for you. We left a voicemail to Mother Nature and put in our order before your tour, but apparently, she was unavailable, so our apologies for the lack of blooming flowers and deer prancing about. As far as our integrity, we do what we say and we say what we do - - The photos on our website are taken with cell phones out on our tour and we are extremely accurate with the description of our tour. In the end, you just cannot make everybody happy period.

I'm a bit torn on how to give this review. I can't say this wasn't a good tour. I also can't say it was exceptional. I must note that we don't have any other similar tour to compare it to as it is the only one we've done. I am basing my comments off of what I read on the website - which is what sold me to choose this tour over all the other companies.

The scenery is amazing and tour guide did his best to keep communication going with a rather quiet crowd. He provided sufficient water and a fruit snack pack. We drove straight up to a certain point, were given some history, had a quick chance to snap a few quick picks and then quickly head back to the jeep to head back (with a bathroom stop each way). I was expecting a bit more than that (and also overheard the other family say the same). The website states that they stop at the "spots" that interest the group which is why I expected more than the one stop.

The website states no children under 7 are allowed ("We apologize for the inconvenience, but our Premium Jeep Tour does not allow service animals or children under the age of 7 so as to not distract from our guests having a wonderful experience while out on tour"). We had 2. One fell asleep. So how "rugged" and exciting the ride was can be argued (or the little guy was just REALLY tired). No offense to the family or the two little guys at all - it did make me wonder, however, whether the tour guide was "taking it easy" because there were children on the jeep.

Again, it wasn't a bad tour at all, just a bit different that the expectations given from their website description.

So I've traveled everywhere from Africa to Amsterdam, Australia to Thailand, Scotland to Japan and done my fair share of tours. This tour is very pricey for what you get, a bumpy and dusty ride through some fire roads and a little back country of Utah. We thought we would get some spectacular views that would otherwise be impossible to see in the park or at least be treated by the guide according to what we paid. Boy were we wrong. We heard more about the guide's ex-wives and world travels than the local environment or any other fun fact that may have set this tour apart from anything else you would have done or seen in the park. Then when we stopped for a break, we got a bottle of water and a package of fruit snacks. We would have been blown away with maybe fruit, or hell, a $5 meat/cheese plate from the local store. That's what the price of this tour entices you to believe. Instead we were pretty much told to hurry the heck up at the bathroom break and not make a mess in the Jeep. Not a huge deal but they didn't even honor the military discount they quoted me.

As a man of your stature, retired Airforce and a commercial pilot, we are shocked that you did not have enough integrity to pick up the telephone and discuss your problems with us prior to word vomiting all over this forum and trying to jade our tour company with a sterling reputation. “I have integrity, that’s what I do when I have an issue with a company.” At Zion Country Off-Road Tours we absolutely give the best jeep tour this area has to offer and we stand behind that. Reading through your review it sounds ridiculous, as if we did nothing right. As a world traveler you found our 4-hour jeep tour to be pricey at $100 an adult / $80 a child? You did not find the views beautiful? You were expecting hand cut fruit or a meat platter? You were informed up front that no outside food or drink is allowed inside the jeep, and yet you still chose to open your bag of sticky grapes and pass the bag amongst your family of five in front of other guests. Maybe you are upset because your guide asked you to not make a mess inside the jeep. In sharing this review with your guide, he remembers your family well. He was shocked to read this review as your wife mentioned several times what an amazing time she was having and your children seemed to enjoy the viewpoints. You gave your guide an extravagant gratuity for a tour that you seem to have not enjoyed based on your review. No off-road tour company can go inside ZNP and we are the only jeep tour company that offers a true off-road experience. The issues you mention regarding your guide have swiftly been addressed. We strongly support all branches of the military and are more than happy to offer a military discount for those who ask. You state above, “Not a huge deal but they didn't even honor the military discount they quoted me.” This quote is unfounded. As an owner operated tour company, you speak to the owners when you book your tour. Unfortunately, you did not ask for a military discount at the time you called us and booked your tour. We certainly wish you would have given us a telephone call and handled this privately so you could have experienced our outstanding customer service.

I’ve done ATV tours in other parts of the country and in my experience three things make them great: equipment that’s well maintained and safe, a guide who knows how to keep everyone having fun while being safe, and a good group of people. The tour companies can’t help on the last piece but these guys do great on the first two!

My girlfriend and I went on an ATV tour with Preston, who was an awesome and extremely knowledgeable tour guide. He did a great job making sure we felt safe, especially since it was her first time, while having fun. He knew a lot about the fossils, the plants, the stones - geology. That made it even better.

The tour included great stopping points along the way to get photos, see incredible views of Zion and learn about the nature and wildlife. I would highly recommend this - definitely the highlight of my trip!

Went on the 4 hour off-road jeep tour with Joel and it was fantastic! Joel has great customer service skills and can definitely read his guests well! The conversation was great, and I didn't feel like I was getting some canned tour-guide talk. I was asking tons of questions on how the landscape was formed, where to go around town (I'm travelling alone and wanted to go explore but didn't feel comfortable going alone). I also asked him about survival skills if I get stuck in the desert and he was great at pointing out all the edible plants and telling me how the native americans lived when they were out there in the wilderness. He even picked a manzanita berry (I think berry?) for me to try if I wanted, but I wasn't adventurous enough :D

Joel's driving was impeccable, the scenery was amazing and the ride was tailored to what I (the guest) wanted. I felt at ease from the beginning. I can't tell what was better, the amazing scenery or getting to know Joel! Would recommend to anyone.

Some other notes - I can personally attest to the fact we got OFF road. We passed a trail entrance sign and for much of the tour were sharing the trail with mountain bikers. It was definitely not a fire road, at least to my untrained eye :) it was great.

Joel was SUPER easy going and specifically told me a couple times we could hang out at the lookouts as long as I wanted. This tour went above and beyond my expectations, if you're thinking about doing it, DO IT.

We were taken to various high points for spectacular views of the canyon which are often inaccessible to everyone. Our guide/driver was Nicole who was very skilled and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed her running commentary which provided history of the area and knowledge of the flora and fauna surrounding us. We were thrilled with the tour and highly recommend it.
