Booked with a friend for 2 hours because we were looking for 1:1 instruction. Shane and Neil were awesome. Each of us got time with both instructors, so had constant feedback and direction for each wave we pursued. Shane and Neil are long time surfers and experts in their craft. Real nice guys too. I highly recommend taking lessons with them and I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I can’t say enough about Shane and Neil! These guys were absolutely amazing! We did the surf lessons, kayaking and snorkeling and it was our favorite adventure in Hawaii! Book with adventures in paradise! I promise you won’t regret it!!!!

A simply wonderful couple of hours. Shane has more energy than a box of frogs and is one of those rare people who encourages and supports yet pushes you too. I cannot imagine anyone else being better. There were three of us and Shane was towing us out like a human jet ski and pushing us on to waves. All beginners and all standing up like, well, not pros, but standing nonetheless. Pure joy. Thank you Shane!

Shane and Neil were fantastic. They definitely enjoy working with and helping kids learn to surf. It was also my first time and it was a lot of fun!

I would give this 10 stars if I could! Shane and Neil were amazing- they made sure all 5 of us got up on the board (I was skeptical I could do it!) and their positive attitudes were contagious. We had so much fun!! The only downside was that our kids decided that this was the best thing we could do and it was our first day- it will be hard to top this ! There is an extra charge for photos and it’s worth every penny- definitely do it!!

Before we went on this surfing lesson, my wife was a bit under the weather and nervous as she is not a strong swimmer. However, the location was great for just about anybody. You can surf and literally stand up in the water if needed. The surfboard provided was very large and stable, great for beginners. I was able to stand up pretty much right away and had a great time. My wife fell a couple of times and got scared. However, our instructors Shane and Neil refused to give up and kept guiding her until she finally got that crazy good wave and rode the entire wave! They are very patient and very determined. You can tell that they thoroughly enjoy what they do. Communication with them starts the day before and they are very detailed with the meet up location. All equipment were provided for us and they even take pictures and videos for you while you surf (small charge). The weather that day was amazing and the waves were perfect, not too crazy and enough for us to ride. For a first time surfing, I never felt nervous about getting hurt or injured. It is a great workout as well. Money well spent!

My son and I went for the 2-hour kids surfing adventure with Shane and Captain Neil - and we had a blast! Was a bit worried, booked a class together, and was able to catch three waves (before needing to rest) … my 8-year old son rode 12 of them - all thanks to the enthusiasm and expertise of Shane! Being paddled out and set up with the perfect timing and balance when to get up - and even seeing the biggest turtle ever coming up while paddling out… it was just perfection. There is a shower at the beach to rinse off afterwards, and a food truck for a well-deserved ice cream. Thanks for a magical adventure! We’ll be back for sure.

I have family in Hawaii and am a frequent visitor. Over the past few years, Shane has now taught both my kids to surf (so I'm obviously a repeat customer). This past time, it was my 7 year old son who was excited but also a little scared to go surfing for the first time. Shane totally eased him into it with words of encouragement and stayed close: holding him on the surfboard when they were paddling out and standing up. It was like tandem surfing, but without the acrobatics. I was surfing alongside them and Shane, even with my son on his board, was able to paddle faster than me and catch more waves. The guy is a real pro (and actually, he was a sponsored surfer growing up) and the real deal when it comes to teaching and surfing. My son had a blast and I highly recommend. Will continue to surf with Shane and Adventures in Paradise Oahu in the years to come.

Kimo was awesome, he accommodated me when it was my mistake. His assistants “Michael “ were great and got me riding waves right away. Felt the Aloha the whole time.

We spent a wonderful day touring the island with Shane. Convenient hotel pick up and return for this private tour. Throughout the day Shane was a thoroughly attentive & considerate host. He has an excellent knowledge of the island’s history & culture which he shared at the many stops along the way. Snorkeling was a highlight with a wide range of fish in a calm & sheltered lagoon. I highly recommend the tour with Shane.

Shane and Neil made my lifelong dream of learning to surf come true. We brought our two daughters (6 and 10) and they had a blast. We were worried that our youngest one would get a scared, but Shane made her (and us) feel so comfortable and madd the experience so fun that it didn’t become an issue at all. We are so glad that we chose this company and you will too. Shane and Neil did such an amazing job teaching us the basics and we were all riding waves within the first few attempts. Highly recommended!!

We had an amazing group lesson with Shane and Captain Neil! Our entire group of 6 was able to surf almost immediately. Our guides made sure that everyone was successful. It was a beautiful experience and I hope to go back again someday!

Shane was so accommodating and such a great teacher. My daughter and I were standing up and riding on our very first wave! Shane, passionate for surfing, teaching, and the island really shines through. 10 out of 10, would absolutely recommend.
