Walking Through History on the Missouri
The general admission to the USS Missouri includes a guided 30 minute tour, or you can purchase several other add-on tours. Or, you can be like me and just wander around the ship (the directional signage is everywhere) and listened in on nearby group presentations. It was fascinating to think of a ship participating in WWII with its multiple 16 inch guns firing every 30 seconds...all the way up to the Gulf War with its Phalanx anti-missile gatling gun. I was able to cover a lot of the ship, including the signing area, the mess halls, officers quarters, enlisted quarters, kitchen galleys, and the top deck command centers. You suddenly realize that whoever is in charge is running a small city! It was fun to walk around without waiting for the group to follow along--especially if you know what you want to see. The view from the outside decks are pretty impressive; we even got to see a real Naval ship sail by with its full complement of personnel on deck as they sailed past the USS Arizona and paid their respects. Wow!

          Arlaine made this trip unforgettable
Arlaine was phenomenal. She made us truly feel like ohana. She took the time to learn everyone's names and actually called us by name all day. She gave us lots of information through the whole day. She even went above and beyond by making some great local restaurant suggestions. I highly recommend taking this tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great experience due in part to insightful guide
Excellent experience - we were in Honolulu for a short time and wanted to see all of Pearl Harbor. Clift was our guide - he gave us a printed itinerary of the 4 places we would see throughout the day and some navigation tips at each place. Great guide as he grew up here and had some interesting insights into local living. Highly recommend him.

          This is NOT A TOUR.
Literally drove us a block, dropped us at the memorial, pointed out a few things and left. We paid over 140 per person for this. They are taking advantage of people and SHOULD NOT advertise this as a tour. We are staying with family who are Kama Aina but they were working so could not take us. It is impossible to get boat tickets (which are $1) to the Arizona as these tour groups buy them up. The Missouri is only $25 for military and Kama Aina. You take the shuttle bus to FORD ISLAND from the memorial, not with the tour. We essentially paid $120 dollars per person for a one block ride. THIS IS NOT IS NOT A TOUR.

Pearl Harbor is a must-see when visiting Oahu for the first time.
We had previously been to Pearl Harbor, but never toured the Missouri. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and we all learned a lot. We had taken our young sons to Pearl Harbor in the early 90’s, and now had the opportunity to take our young grandsons.

Don't book if you aren't staying in Waikiki
Im sure this is worth it if you are staying at one of the hotels they pick up from. We met the bus down the street from the parking lot just to be driven 30 seconds up the road and then a 10 minute explanation of how to navigate the park. The lady was very nice and helpful, but you could pay the same or less at the front door and not have to walk 3 blocks back to your car.

          Highly recommended.
Tour guide was knowledgeable and jovial. He told us lots of interesting information. He picked us up on time and the half hour ride was comfortable. The visit to the USS Arizona Memorial was both solemn and informative. The tour of the Battleship Missouri was fantastic. I would like to have given more time to explore the Memorial and Battleship. Learnt about the ending of World War 2. This tour did not include the tour of the USS Bowfish, which was, literally next door. My wife and I booked it separately to go another day. We booked on-line (recommended and cheaper) and took the public bus (No 2 or 42 from Waikiki - Kulio Street) for just $3 per person per trip. This was good as we then took our time exploring the submarine and the museum.

Pearl Harbor Memorial and USS Missouri Tour
This tour is great. It seems like a long time, but it honestly is not and went by so quickly. Our guide Ro-Ro was the BEST…request her! The Pearl Harbor Memorial is powerful and humbling. The USS Missouri tour was the highlight for us, it was so cool to see the life and operations of such an important piece of history.

We wished that we would have more time at the Missouri battleship snd much less time at the Pearl Harbor museum. Our tour guide was great but wasn’t able to go with us into the museums which would have made it better.

We booked our tickets through the park service. You can book up to 90 days in advance and I recommend you do so. Tickets are only $1.00 per person, but they seem to fill up so planning seems to be key.

Parking is limited but with some patience, you will find a spot. It is recommended that you arrive one hour early. That is probably so you have time to find parking, but you don't need an entire hour before.

The museums telling the story of December 6 were very good—an excellent way to get some background before going out to the memorial.

It is a quick boat ride out. Once there you will spend 25 minutes or so walking through, taking pictures, and seeing everything. It isn't someplace where you will spend a long time.

It was a great experience for our 12-year-old daughter to learn more about and a very moving experience. Definitely should be missed if you are on Oahu anyway.

Learn about WWII history at Pearl Harbor walk around the exhibits, see real photos and items recovered from that day. We took a boat ride to the USS Arizona memorial and pay my respects to those who lost their lives that day fighting for our freedom. After the boat returned from the USS Arizona we watched another movie about that day. The memorial is free to the public but I recommend making reservations, there are kiosks set up that have tablets where you can get in on stand-by. For a cost you can also get a audio tour device.

Pearl Harbor is a very large area on the sea, which includes various attractions, but I only did the Arizona Memorial with my family (the only one that was free).
There is perhaps no need to buy the ticket online (although I always recommend it) because in the end the waiting time for the queue with and without is practically the same (but I visited it on Tuesday, I don't know if in the end week is the same).
You cannot bring medium/large sized bags or accessories, otherwise you will have to place them on a paid box ($7). If the experience is nice, they transport you in a shuttle and ask you not to stop to take photos, but to take them on the vehicle (no one respected this request). The attraction itself (the Arizona memorial) is a structure on the water above a submerged ship, one of many on the morning of December 7, 1941. At the end of the structure there is the memorial with all the names of the fallen ( and survivors).

Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgable - he gave us a great tour of the city and pointed out interesting highlights on the way to and from Pearl Harbour.

The whole Pearl Harbour experience is very humbling and interesting.

They recommend you dont bring any bags but we found out there that you can check a bag for $7 fee before entering. That would something good to know ahead of time.

Overall we had a great time and the bus was very comfortable with air conditioning.

We had taken a tour to Pearl Harbor last September with another tour company. I was disappointed with the experience as they told us when we arrived at Pearl Harbor they had not been able to get us tickets to the Arizona but we were welcome to wait in the standby line for who knows how long.
This time, I wanted to be sure we got to the Arizona so I contacted Karma by text before I booked. They told me if they couldn't get tickets, the trip would not take place.
Due to airline problems, we had to cancel our first reservation. Karma worked with me to reschedule and even add another couple to our tour.
Our tour guide was great. We took an early morning tour. This was a small group tour, probably 12 people on a small bus. When we got to Pearl Harbor, we had tickets for 9:30 to the Arizona. Our tour guide told us if we got in the standby line, which had no one in it, we would be able to go on to the Arizona early. Sure enough, we were on one of the first boats over to the Arizona.
Basically, you're paying for transportation to Pearl Harbor and someone going online or making a phone call to get you a reserved spot for the boat ride to the Arizona. Entrance to Pearl Harbor is free ($7 parking fee). You can't take anything in except what you can carry in your pockets. No purses, fanny packs, camera cases, etc. They do have lockers for rent. I was able to carry in a water bottle.
It's truly an incredible experience. For a history or museum buff, this would probably not be enough time for you but we were able to go over to the Arizona and go through the two museums before it was time to return to the bus. Our driver took us on a mini tour of Honolulu, even stopping for a visit and pictures at the King statue.

Amazing opportunity. Did some research approx. a month in advance to ensure everything was sorted - tickets are released a couple of weeks in advance and for $1!! You'd be silly not to do this. I just wish that you could spend more time at the USS Arizona Memorial.
You can enter the site for free and the $1 covers the ferry to the USS Arizona Memorial. In a bittersweet way we had chosen the best day to visit; it was Lou Coulter's memorial and funeral. Lou was the last survivor of the USS Arizona attack, there was a lovely ceremony held in honour of Lou and every other person involved.

We did not expect to visit Pearl Harbour as we kept finding online that it was $90 and thought that price was astronomical for a memorial. After meeting someone, she explained that it is only one dollar and you reserve these on their website! If they are sold out they open more tickets out for sale at 3pm the day before. We did this but unfortunately the boat to the memorial was cancelled due to high winds.
The rest of the museum was interesting.
We caught the bus from Waikiki and it took forever.
        Worth visiting

our driver, mc finny was great. prompt pick up and gave a lot of information on the way there. heads up: no purses or bags of any kind. there’s a good 20 minute movie, two small museums, a gift shop and option for guided tour with headphones. we also saw some people with VR things but didn’t ask about it. there’s a separate tour of the submarine for an extra charge of $22 per ticket. it’s on top of the water and you can walk thru on the sub part and on top. it was a beautiful day with no wind but very hot. no wind is best because the boat will not take you out to the memorial if it’s above a certain amount of knots. you only get like 10-15 mins at the memorial and there is not much. you walk through and see the ship underneath you. there is a gentleman there giving information and the wall with all the names is a really nice tribute. they sort of heard you in and out like cattle. you don’t get much time at the memorial but there is not a ton to see so staying there longer would not be more beneficial. all in all a great experience. it’s great when transportation is included and the bus had great AC which was a relief from that hot hawaiian sun. i think if i had to do it again, i would have done one of those guided tours. walking around the mini museums reading everything myself was kind of distracting especially because it’s so busy and people could block your view of the information placards for a while. if you could listen to the info and look at the exhibits and memorabilia, that might have been better.

This is NOT a guided tour, which I thought it was so my fault for booking it and not reading the info fully. All they do is pick you up and drop you off. 1 positive thing is they do book your times for the USS Arizona boat ride in advance so you don’t have to wait when you get there. The tour guide was kind of rude. We were the only two people at our designated pick up spot and the tour guide just sat in the car. He never came to see if we were the right people, we had to approach the car and ask if this was the tour for Pearl Harbor. Not sure if this is the norm in the US, but I’ve traveled to 7 different countries in Asia over the last 1.5 years and they also approach you and are way more attentive. He also made a snide comment “don’t spill your coffee” as if I wasn’t supposed to have it, yet didn’t make any comments to the next four people who got picked up and had coffee. If you have a rental car just drive to Pearl Harbor and pay 7$ for parking, get there before 9am so the timed boat tour to the memorial doesn’t book up and save your self a lot of money.

We chose to do this on our own with an uber from our Waikiki hotel (about $25/ow on 12/26) rather than a van tour because we like flexibility. Do your reservations on recreation.gov for a boat time to the Arizona itself ($2), then work out the rest of your timing around that. We spent about an hour touring the museums (no charge) then had to wait a bit for our boat time. The boat to the Arizona takes no more than 5 min each way and you're left on the memorial for 10 min. There are about 150 people on a full boat so it's not very quiet but it's not packed in either. People were respectful. After the Arizona we chose to spend the $22 /ea to do the Bowfin Sub and the Submarine museum which was really interesting. We kind of liked that museum more than the other one on site devoted to WWII (maybe that's because we know that history better already?). NOTE: the narrated guide was, for us, annoying and not at all worth the $22/ea. The earphone jack on the iphones they give you is unreliable because the iphones are in cases which prevent clear connection. You get one ear or the other and there is so much narration that as you go through the museum you're conflicted between reading the display or listening to the narration (which is sometimes cool, sometimes not so much). I found it distracting and we ditched them half way through. Sorry we spent that $$, but for what it's worth, there's the feedback.
