Overview

See for yourself why Tucson is regarded as one of the best U.S. cities for bicycles. Rent a bike for half the day and enjoy riding on The Loop—an extensive paved trail system with not a car in sight. You can ride hard or take a leisurely cruise, you get to set the pace and decide what you would like to see in the lovely Arizona landscape.

What to Expect
Pickup your bike at our location across from Rillito Racetrack and park. For morning half day rentals, pickup your bikes at 9:00am. For afternoon rentals, pickup at 1:00pm.

You'll be fitted with the correct sized bike, which includes a helmet, adjustable water bottle holder, lock, and map. We rent Civia Lowry single speed bikes, which are perfect for The Loop: comfortable, efficient, reliable, and correctly geared for the flat terrain you'll encounter (just 18' incline per mile!). We've upgraded the tires to the very best: Schwalbe Marathon Plus.

After an equipment overview and safety briefing, ride away and enjoy the best section of The Loop path. Enjoy views of the Catalina Mountains and Rillito wash. You might even forget you are in the city: watch for wildlife and livestock. There are historic sites and numerous art installations along the route, including the Sun Circle ceremonial structure. There are plenty of parks along the route with bathrooms, water, and shady areas to rest. There's even a Trader Joe's along the route if you need a snack break.

The map you're provided includes mileage information for 36 miles of The Loop and there is plentiful signage along the route to make tracking your progress easy. For morning half day rentals, return your bike at 12:30pm. For afternoon rentals, return at 4:30pm. Instructions and riding tips will be given at pickup.

Awesome to hear. We try to be organized! Definitely great to hear you liked the bikes. They aren't the fanciest, but they are a great fit for what you really need on The Loop.

Great Day on the Loop

Tucson Bike's rental area near the loop worked out great for us. Bikes are in great shape, the owner was very helpful in getting us set up, and the easy on/easy off access to the loop was perfect. Price point was quite reasonable too.
