Relaxing experience
This was a wonderful experience. There is one main pool for enjoying the hot water coming from the geothermal springs. You can buy beer/wine and enjoy in the pool.
There are separate shower areas for male/female. Swim suits are required.
You can walk around and see the hot water coming out of Earth.
We reserved our tickets online just in case it gets crowded

Harmless fun
Good little place to relax for an hour or so.
Low key dirt of hot spring. Not over busy but busy enough.
Drinks available to take into the water. Probably a bit pricey at £20 per person but relaxing.

I've lost my camera GoPro hero 5
Feb. 2020
Month ago I've lost my camera in the Secret Lagoon in the water. I can't even imagine how to explain my feelings, because there were all my memories from the trip to such picturesque country as Island. I informed staff about loss, they said they would do everything to find it. Three days after I have arrived home (Kyiv, Ukraine) and one of colleagues called me and informed that they have found my camera! I was so happy to know that all my memories kept saved. And now, a month after my travel to Island, I have my camera on hand. I want to thank the Secret Lagoon and staff for helping me. To be honest, I didn't imagine that I will get my camera back. Thank you a lot!

Lovely experience

This place is truly authentic. The water is so warm, truly fascinating to see the springs around it too. There are men and women’s changing areas, however, The changing areas are very open, be prepared to get naked in front of each other. You also need to shower communally naked before you enter. They provide floats if you need one and it’s so relaxing in the water. The cafe is very pleasant and reasonably priced. It’s a 1 1/2 hour drive out of Reykjavík so be prepared for a long drive.

Perfect for couples
My boyfriend and I went there for a relaxing day and we enjoyed our time in there. It got crowded after 3pm, so I'd highly recommend to go there early.
During the first couple of hours we were there, there seemed to be a lot of steam being produced, which was nice in the fact that despite there being roughly 30 others in the pool. It made you feel as though you still had some sense of privacy, you literally couldn't see someone else that was only a few metres in front of you.

Another thing we enjoyed about the pool were the varying depths you could adjust your body to via tha rocks around the edges that acted as stools per se. Allowing you to adjust your body temperature, while still being comfortable at the same time.

Ps. The hotdogs were great too. And reasonably priced.

Disappointing
Although a nice experience, everyone in the pool was comparing it to the blue lagoon and saying how disappointing this place was in comparison.

Excellent. Nearer to nature
This is a great hot lagoon. Basically a gravel bottom hot spring. The pool is about the size of two tennis courts and roughly 3 foot / 1 metre deep. There's even a little geyser next to the pool. If you don't like walking on gravel wear some waterproof shoes.

Cafe on site sold hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and hotdogs. Towels can be rented on site, male and female changing rooms with free lockers (swimming pool type with a key) Be advised, you change and shower in front of everyone else. No privacy if that matters to you.
