Top notch service
May 2019
We took the tour back in May 2019. It was excellent. Patrick, our guide was extremely knowledgeable. He went above and beyond making as many stops as possible. At every stop, he offered to take photos for all the passengers- families/groups.
Cris, the owner, was extremely kind and professional from the time we booked our tour. We had forgotten our binoculars on the tour van. When we got home after our Alaska trip, I called Cris and told him. As soon as he located them, he shipped them to us without charging us postage.
We highly recommend tours by Frontier. You'll enjoy the top-notch services and see the places the train cannot access.

Brilliant Trip
Sep. 2019
We decided that the way we wanted to explore in Skagway was by coach. We booked the Skagway Shore Excursion Yukon Discovery Trip through Tripadvisor. We travelled in a small coach which made it easier to stop at many beautiful scenery places. Our driver was excellent and so obliging. We stopped for a good lunch at the dog trainig centre which was very interesting. Our weather was so good which made the views even better. I would recommend this trip if you want to see as much of the area as you can in a one day trip.

100% worth it!
Aug. 2019
This was 100% my parent's favorite part of our entire 7 day Alaska cruise on the Ovation of the Seas. Honesty my dad could not stop talking about it! We toured with Mike, who was honestly just amazing. Super funny, personable, engaged, he was really the reason that this trip was amazing. He was on point the entire time. Great sense of humor and extremely informative about the entire trip, but also had some funny jokes. He really knew how to invovle his passengers and it made the whole experience totally unforgettable. There was no possible way for us to have been bored on the drive because he did such a great job entertaining us. At one point he even had the passengers playing trivia together. Seeing all of the lakes and creeks was gorgeous. The suspension bridge was interesting, and the Carcross Desert was an unexpected, cute little stop. We loved Emerald lake was absolutely beautiful. It was awesome stopping at the Welcome to Alaska sign. On our trip, we were lucky enough to see mountain goat and three bears. At Caribou crossing, we enjoyed a simple lunch. I found the taxidemery museum to be awesome, and most of all I loved the petting zoo area. It was great to finally see sled dogs in real life. I really enjoyed feeding the goats, alpacas, donkeys and other wildlife. I would stay away from the horse if I were you - a little food agressive. Overall the entire trip was 100% worth the price and I feel like it was the best possible way that we could have spent our time while in Skagway port. I woud highly recommend not only the Frontier Company but also specificlaly Mike for all travelers coming to Skagway. Doing this tour is a memory I will never forget!

Fabulous guide, bus, and day! Perfect private excursion!
Sep. 2019
From beginning the planning process to the very last of the touring day, Frontier Excursions and their staff took excellent care of our group of 18 cruisers. Communication was fantastic (quick, accurate, consistent) as I tried to create an excurion 1.5 years out for our small group, to include the White Pass train and a trip into the Yukon.
On the day, Jessica (aka JJ) met us at the cruise pier tour waiting area. She took care of us and kept us both relaxed and on time. She made sure we boarded the correct carriage on the train, explained some necessities, and left us to meet up again in B.C. A few in our group elected to not take the train - no worries, she picked them up later and took them to her local coffee shop. What a positive first impression!
By the time the group was picked up in Fraser, we throught the trip couldn't be beat. How wrong were we?! September in the Yukon should not be underestimated. Fabulous fall colours with the Aspen trees just a glorious golden colour. JJ knew all the best photo stops, and told us quite a few stories along the way. The Caribou Crossing stop "does the business", and a few of our group really enjoyed the gold panning. Plus the husky puppies, who could want more? On the way back, some time for a nap and some great photo stops. Upon returning to Skagway, JJ made several stops - those wanting to shop in Skagway, those wanting to try the Sitka Spruce local beer, and those wanting to return. We later found out, when JJ was headed out, she saw some of our group and actually offered to shuttle them back to the ship from downtown! Wow! I cannot say enough positive things about this excursion, and I'm sure the others on this trip would agree. First rate! Cheers, Frontier Excursion!

Travel to the Northwest Territory
Jun. 2019
I was traveling with 5 children and this trip was perfect for us. We experienced the Klondike Highway and learned about the famous Gold Rush. Our guide/ bus driver shared tales about the many men who tried to strike it rich. They had to carry two years worth of food with them (2000 pounds per person into the Yukon) She brought their struggles life with photos and colorful descriptions as we followed their path up to the Yukon. She pointed out Alaska's glaciers, volcanos, glacier fed lakes and made sure we noticed the transition from a rainforest into a desert terrain as we crossed the border.into the Yukon. The vistas were fabulous and we were able to spot on several occasions to take photos but the highlight for the kids was our stop for lunch where we got to see and hold the puppies that were bred for the Iditerod Races. It was a perfect way to enjoy the area. We were on the lookout for bears and didn't see any but we did enjoy seeing the sheep high on the mountain

Great Excursion!
Sep. 2019 • Family
This was probably my favorite excursion from our cruise. My husband and I traveled with our 8 month old son and the folks and things went really well. We stopped at lookouts fairly often which was nice and the views were so so nice. Do not hesitate to book this tour, it takes you way further than the train can!!
