Resurrection Bay Cruise with Fox Island
From USD 123.34
Low Price Guarantee
Admire the icy blue waters of Resurrection Bay as your boat glides past glaciers, snowcapped mountains and dramatic cliffs. On this 4.5-hour cruise into the Kenai Fjords across Resurrection Bay, keep watch for whales, puffins and otters with the help of a wildlife guide. Step onto the shores of beautiful Fox Island, and sink into a mouthwatering buffet of wild Alaskan salmon and prime rib at a private lodge. This Resurrection Bay cruise gives you the chance to learn about the area’s natural history and skip stones at a pebble beach.
What to Expect
Revel in the serene beauty of the Alaskan wilderness on this 50-mile (80-km) cruise across Resurrection Bay. Make your way to Seward Small Boat Harbor and step aboard your boat that cuts through the cool waters of Resurrection Bay. If you like, enjoy a glass of beer or wine from the onboard bar (own expense) as you soak up the views.
From a comfy spot inside or on the open-air top deck, take in the jaw-dropping scenery of alpine glaciers, snowy mountains and jagged cliffs. Your landscape tableau includes Bear Glacier, one of the Alaskan coast’s premier sights. A wildlife guide on board points out whales, puffins, otters, falcons and sea otters along the way.
Reach Fox Island and follow your guide to a charming lodge, where you’ll sit down for a delicious lunch buffet of wild Alaskan salmon and prime rib, served with vegetables, salad and bread rolls. During your meal, a National Park Ranger provides an engaging presentation of the area's natural history.
Then, enjoy some free time at a ‘skipping stone’ beach. Try your hand at bouncing pebbles across the water, or simply lap up the peace and pristine scenery.
Back on your boat, take in your final views before your 4.5-hour Resurrection Bay wildlife cruise ends back at Seward harbor.

Bet rock skipping in America

We take this trip every year. OK, the food is good but not great but the view is spectacular mile after mile and the chocolate chip cookies on the ship are fabulous. Saw five whales fishing together on our last trip

Not Something To Do on a Foggy/Misty Day

We did the Resurrection Bay Cruise with Fox Island about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate - misty and foggy. About the only wildlife we saw were a few distant otters, some seals, and some birds. The stop at Fox Island lasted...More

Great trip - bring warm clothes!

The cruise through Resurrection Bay was gorgeous! We were very fortunate to see a pod of orcas - twice - as they aren't usually easy to find in August. August also has rain showers frequently so bring several warm layers and rain gear. You can't...More

We did the Whale Watch and Fox Island buffet lunch. So many of these tours are similar, but Kenai Tours was the one we were on. We saw a few whales and the tour guide was very informative and entertaining. There are plenty of great...More

Moments which make your heart stop beating

We did this tour and we were so impressed about the animals we could see: sea otters, 2 humpback whales hunting together, sea lions, puffins, seagulls and bald eagles. We had lunch in Fox Island which is also really impressive. On the way back they...More
