          Excellent adventure!
DREU led an AMAZING tour to the volcano and with star gazing, etc! For some 12 hours non-stop he taught us SO MUCH about not just the topic of our tour but about Hawaiian life, tradition and values. He also spoiled us to the hilt with jackets, umbrellas, flash lights, you name it! It was so obvious that he wants you to not only have a great adventure, but the best adventure of your life! No wonder he's rated not only one of the best tourist guides anywhere, but perhaps the best in all Hawaii! This company is great, and Dreu is the icing on the cake! Check them out, and try to get Dreu to lead you!!!

          Great waterfall tour
Fantastic water falls and swim in a private waterfall pool. Driver / tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Big Island volcanoes their history of eruptions and about the Island history. He made a special stop to let us see some dolphins and sea turtles that was not a normal part of the tour. The lunch provided was very good and the lunch location very nice.

Twilight Volcano and Stargazing tour – it turned out to be much more than that and plenty to
Wonderful! Aaron was an excellent informative guide. Far exceeded my expectations. Although I had been to Hawaii several times, I saw and learned so many new things, it would have been a shame to have gone home without this experience, which included walking through a cool lava tube, Visiting a coffee farm, and lots of unexpected sites and information. The tour provided plenty of food also.

          Worth the time .
Driver was very knowledgeable and funny. He kept the long trip less boring. He was a great story teller. The vocano was beautiful at night.

          An Must-To-Do Experience
We recently took the Twilight Volcano and Stargazing Tour, and it was fantastic. Aaron, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful—he’d fit right in on Jeopardy! Starting in Kona, we dealt with various weather conditions throughout the day. Wasabi Tours provided raincoats for the rain and warm jackets for stargazing. The tour included plenty of stops, so we never had to worry about finding clean restrooms. The meals, including lunch and dinner, were surprisingly good, with dinner offering a variety of options. Aaron was very informative about the volcano, making several stops and explaining each one. When a stargazing spot was too crowded, he quickly took us to a quieter location where we could enjoy the stars without any distractions. He used a pointer to help us identify the stars and constellations, which made the stargazing even better. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time at each site. I highly recommend Wasabi Tours and would book with them again.

Wow!! Best bang for the buck. See Hawaii that not even the locals may be completely aware of.
OH man!!! Don't be discouraged by the price. After the tour, I felt like they didn't charge enough. I'm originally from Hawaii but my host (Miexia) was so friendly, fun cool Hawaii facts, tips for other places to check out while here on vacation, and even though we were out for about an 11 hr tour, it went by so quickly. Included in the package was lunch and dinner. It wasn't just a sandwich and a bag of chips. Nope. lunch and dinner were good food that locals would eat too. We hit so many places. Nature and civilized places too. Book this tour and thank me later.

          Kona Waterfalls
The sites were great. Kona is amazing. Unfortunately our tour guide was rude and drove very aggressively. Waterfalls and views were awesome. Too bad our driver was bad.

Fun romp around waterfalls, tropic beauty and more!
We had an incredible tour with Stefan last week, thoroughly enjoying the stunning beauty while learning more about the Hawaiian culture and history. The waterfalls we visited were stunning, as well as the botanical garden and we even got to swim in a private waterfall area- a highlight and must-do! Although we had an impressive number of stops, we were encouraged us to savor each experience and we never felt rushed. Stefan was a fun and engaging tour guide and he is knowledgeable in so many different areas! He also has a great way with people and everywhere we went, people seemed to know him! Throughout the tour, we were well-cared for The food, snacks and beverages kept coming. We highly recommend this tour with Wasabi Tours and Stefan!

          Dreamy star-gazing and waterfall tour!
We were so thrilled with our volcano stargazing tour with Todd this past week. His knowledge of volcano geology was very impressive but we were actually blown away by his astronomy expertise. He knew all of the English and historic Arabic names of the individual stars making up the constellations. We won’t ever forget our experience of seeing the dark sky lit up with so many stars and seeing the Milky Way! And then when he pulled out his large telescope that allowed us to clearly see Saturn- no words!! It was a long day but we saw so many incredible treasures like the lava tube in Volcano National Park and getting some mild hiking in around the volcano rim. The weather was also quite mercurial that day but Todd handled the challenge quite well, even through some intense rain. He has such a buoyant and calming demeanor and we felt safe and cared for in every moment. He also had an awesome playlist that he shared with our small group in the in-between spaces that perfected matched each moment. Thank you, Todd! We highly recommend this tour with Wasabi Tours and Todd!

When You Wish Upon a Star....
Makes no difference who you are. You're going to enjoy this tour. Here are some tips to KNOW BEFORE YOU GO. You will be visiting beaches and part of the base of Mauna Kea. I did the Mauna Kea summit tour with another tour group and I STRONGLY advise my fellow tourists to bring a set of Winter clothes for that portion. You're going to be cold+sorry if you don't. Shorts are cool on the black sand beaches that you will visit, but will leave you COLD when you're stargazing at the cold base of Mauna Kea. Also, bring a nice and solid pair of walking shoes. You will need them when you walk down to the lava tubes and visit various rocky sites around the volcano park. Ok, so now for the review. A wonderful way to spend an entire day. Henry was our tour guide. He was very chipper and a joy to spend the day with. You will be going to a few stops on this tour, stemming from a coffee farm where you can buy some premium fresh coffee that is grown on the Kona Coffee Belt, a Black Sand Beach with Sea turtles, and, the steamy base of Kilauea where you get to see the crater and home of where the Goddess Pele resides. You will conclude the tour somewhere at the COLD base of Mauna Kea to star gaze. You will hear some of the Hawaiian Legends of how the islands were formed. One of my favorite stories/legends was of the Lehua Ohia Tree+flower. All in all and overall, it's a good tour and a lovely way to spend a day on the Big Island and definitely worth the money. You get a little bit of everything in this tour and you basically go around the entire Big Island from Kona to Hilo. It also comes with a dinner break after you visit Kilauea and before you go off to your stargazing point. I would recommend downloading the Stellarium App if you're into stargazing and bring it along for the ride. It's the same app the Henry used at the time and it shows you all of the constellations while you're looking staring up at the sky. So happy Stargazing!

          Great Tour
We had an awesome time! Our tour guide Aaron was great! He was very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. The first activity we did was to the Kona Coffee Farm. We had a great time tasting coffee and looking at the step by step process to making the coffee. We also really enjoyed our lunch at the coffee farm. The second activity we did was to a bread factory. The bread was delicious and unique. Our third stop was to a black sand beach. We had an awesome time and we enjoyed the beaches unique beauty unlike most white sand beaches. Our second to last stop was to the big crater at the summit of the volcano. The view was breathtaking and it felt as if you were at a mini Grand Canyon. Our dinner was great and we enjoyed the nice smooth rides from stop to stop. Our last stop was stargazing. It was incredible! We saw almost every star in the sky. We even saw the Milky Way! All in all our trip was incredible and we loved every second of it. We would love to do it again.

Wasabi and Dreu, perfect tour combination.
Came to visit the Big Island and booked a tour with this company based on the amazing reviews as well as YouTube (Hawaii Vacation Guide). If you want a full day to get to know more history of this island while experiencing highlights in a relaxed / fun way, this is the company for you. From booking to the tour itself, they truly made things easy. I will say that this is a full day so if you have younger kids / grandparents they may stay in van for certain portions which was what happened with us and was perfectly fine. We were fortunate to get Dreu as our guide; he has been with the company for 8 years and was extremely knowledgeable. It says a lot when a person holds this position for so long yet still has the incredible excitement to make it feel like it’s his first time. Quite frankly it was so enjoyable to see someone who truly is committed and passionate about his profession. I think he is the lead guide but he shared that their company has other super talented guides. Perhaps this type of mentality is why Wasabi is so highly rated. I can highly recommend this company and this particular tour. I think that you will also be impressed at Dreu’s ability to memorize names, create a great ambiance and the plethora of information he has from Hawaiian history to astronomy (as well as knowing where all the Ace Hardware stores are haha). Keep up the great work in sharing the beauty of this island. Looking forward to scheduling another tour with this company.

Incredible Experience With Amazing Tour Guide
This tour delivers an incredible experience with a truly amazing tour guide. Dreu knows Big Island inside and out. We traveled the majority of the island, from the town of Kona, a coffee farm, a local bakery, a Black Sands beach, mountains, volcanoes, forests, a lava tube, a BBQ dinner, the town of Hilo, and mountaintop stargazing... all in one spectacular day! It lasted 12 hours but it felt like it just flew by; Dreu keeps it equally fascinating and entertaining. His passion, knowledge, and respect for Big Island and Hawaiian culture clearly shine through as he takes the tour group to all of these beautiful places and tells us about all the "tings to considah!" 🙂 It's a day, and an experience, you will never forget.

          Amazing tour!
This was the best tour we have taken! Dreu was an AMAZING guide! He was very knowledgeable and made the excursion more fun (especially for my 11 year old) He got him engaged in learning about green sand, black sand and various plants around the island. We were fortunate and had awesome weather, so we were able to see a lot. I would definitely do this tour again! If you say "it would be just the same tour" you're wrong because what's Here today is gone tomorrow.

Derrick has a passion on this job. He is a great tour guide, consistently narrating the history stories throughout the time on the bus. The tour itself is kinda too lengthy to me, but I guess a lot of people will think it’s worthy the price

I have done a couple of these “island in a day” tours for multiple islands, and can tell you Wasabi Tours is one of the best! Mia (our guide), was AMAZING! She’s an allstar and I would recommend asking when she is touring if you want a true local. She grew up on the island and is incredibly knowledgeable about the island’s history, including Hawaiian legends, and transformation of the landscape over the past couple decades.

This tour was well worth the money if you are trying to have an action packed day to see all the things - everything from coffee, malasadas (Portuguese donuts), black sand beach, lava fields, volcano craters, lava tube (cave), rainforest, waterfalls and dramatic cliff side views to end your day. The tour picks up early in the morning (at your hotel or close by) and drops you off about 12 hours later in the same spot. You receive lunch during the tour typically around the beach stop (teriyaki chicken bento box). Mia was also prepared for everything - complimentary water/juices, umbrellas, rain jackets, sunscreen, first aid kit, etc. We felt very taken care of during our time with her on this tour.

Highly recommend this company for this tour and I am confident you will receive the same experience with any of their other tours!

From our first stop in the morning, a Kona coffee plantation with free sampling, to our last, star-gazing at the night sky on rural point, Dreu filled every moment of the all-day tour with his enthusiastic far-ranging knowledge of his beloved Big Island. We had a delicious lunch at a famous island bakery and deli and dinner at a picturesque tavern near the national volcano park.
And believe me, Dreu saw to it that we were able to work up an appetite with walking excursions to a black beach and a wondrous short hike around the volancoes, including a fantastic lava cave.
We went through a lot of climate changes in one day and Dreu was prepared with gear for all of us. And the enormous store of facts, stats and island lore he has command of is phenomenal. A day with Dreu gives us the optimal Big Island experience.

This is a fantastic way to start your vacation on Big Island! Our guide, Brian, was so knowledgeable—it blew my mind. He was also hilarious and his jokes were wonderful and comforting. The van was super comfortable and the stops were breathtaking. The stops also lasted the perfect amount of time. Wasabi has definitely mastered the art of putting as much into this trip without it being boring or overwhelming. Thanks so much Brian!

Our tour guide JJ was phenomenal and I heard everyone in the van say they were also very pleased with her sharing of history, cultural stories and fun facts, that kept us entertained and energized all day.
The tour was well organized so that we were on and off the bus at regular intervals. The lunch and snacks were delicious and the vehicle was comfortable.
Most of all our guide made the day fascinating and memorable.

We booked a private tour for 5 adults and 3 kids (7, 8, and 13) and chose the Big Island in a Day Tour (called the Circle Tour on their website), so we could get a little taste of an assortment of things on the big island. Dreu was amazing! He was so funny and charismatic. His love of people and his love of Hawaii really just shines. It was a long day, but everyone enjoyed the sights and we all loved hearing Dreu's stories. The day went quickly and we learned a lot. The tour had a nice mix of sights of great natural beauty and a few little places to stop and shop. The provided meal was tasty and they easily accommodated the pescatarian in our group. I highly recommend doing the tour during the early part of your vacation. You don't get much time at any one spot, but it's a great overview and can help you plan how you want to spend the rest of your vacation. Do you want more lush tropical places? More lava? More history? More malasadas? At the end of our trip, when we were talking about what we liked best, the 8 year old said that Dreu was one of his favorite parts of the trip, because he was so funny! He kept everyone in our group from 7 - 70 years old entertained for 12 hours. It was impressive. I will absolutely sign up for another tour if/when I get back to the big island!

Worth the time (and money) spent by taking this trip! Brian is an amazing tour guide full of knowledge and very personable! He kept everyone entertained with his knowledge of The Big Island and provided excellent recommendations to other attractions. At no time on this tour did myself or any member of my party feel unsafe with his driving or covid or anything else you could imagine. He reminded our group throughout the trip about the rules when it came to covid and turtles at the beach. He took his time to find volcano glass at the summit which was much appreciated. The passion Brian displays for Hawaiian history is shown through the many fun facts he gives along the full day trip. I can say that I enjoyed the sights of Hawaii and learned a lot of history along the way! Brian is truly an asset to the company! If you are able to take the tour with him, do it!

This was a great island look-over. Mia was an excellent guide. She is local and knows a great deal about the island. She didn't just take us there, but taught us good info about coffee growing detail at the plantation, about the lava phenomenon at the Nat'l Pk and all over the island. She gave us history about the Hawaiian Kings, and island history. Very informative. She gave us plenty of time to look at each stop- the stops are quick, but we were never rushed around even when there were lines somewhere. Bakery was absolutely YUMMY, I wish I would have bought another HI malasada treat for the next day. After sun in the morning, turning to clouds and then rain, we had the skies open up for a beautiful sunset on our way back. Mia pulled over for anyone to get a sunset pic. It was a great day. I highly recommend doing this directly with Wasabi as you get a small discount with them (not 3rd party, they wanted me to prove the discount info- I did and still didn't get it).

This tour was an amazing overview of the whole island. We only had a short time on the Big Island so we wanted to see as much as possible and this tour did just that. Our guide, Derek, was hands down our favorite guide we've had. He got everyone involved, told jokes, was extremely knowledgeable about the island and lore, and clearly has a passion for these experiences. The van was brand new and very comfortable even on the more bumpy roads and the lunch was surprisingly delicious. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone coming to the big island and our only regret was waiting until the last day of our trip to do it.
