About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- SunshineandDice87950 contributionsA great way to spend an evening in NOLA.To answer The main question you have in mind as you clicked on this review, YES you should sign up and take the guided night ride! We had a group of 7 and after choosing our bikes and Eric adjusting everyone’s bikes for comfort and some quick instruction for everyone to stay safe, the music was cranked up and away we went! The ride was great fun and the guide included stops at the Superdome for pictures then the warehouse district Frenchman’s street and the French quarter for drinks. Eric was a great guide. He was super friendly, planned a great route, and picked fun stops. He even changed one stop for us (on bourbon st.) as we had already spent quite a bit of time there. He also created a play list from our requests and mixed in several songs from local artists. All in all this was probably the most fun our group of friends had on this trip. We would highly recommend it!Written 7 December 2019
- MyReview4Yew0 contributionsQuaint, Perfect ExperienceRented a bike from this place, and it was such a charming experience that I’m itching to return. Finding the place was fun... the owner was very friendly and offered quite a few tips. A few tips: I thought about packing a lunch for the 24/hr rental... I’m glad I didn’t. Pack light, but definitely pack water. We headed to Audubon Park... I wouldn’t recommend taking St. Charles even though there are bike lanes. There is quite a bit of construction that made riding the road a little nerve wracking for novice riders. We took the side/neighborhood streets, and it was much more pleasant. Lunch was pizza at Reginelles... with $5 (Sat special) Margaritas that knocked our socks off... in the fun NOLA way. We tired out after a few hours in the bike, but it was nice knowing we had 24/hrs to bike. I’d recommend taking the bikes out to Audubon Park vs French Quarter for a more pleasant experience. Either way, I recommend this company, and it’s a great way to experience NOLA.Written 29 July 2018
- Suellen D0 contributionsUnique and charming rideWe loved having the New Orleans music to accompany our tour! We also highly recommend a bike tour in general, especially when it's hot. Looking at the walking tour people, they looked wilted and tired as they trudged from spot to spot. We got a little breeze and some fun music every time we were on the bikes, and were able to cover a lot more territory than on a walking tour. The guide gave us lots of interesting history and background on each spot, and was especially helpful when it poured rain in the middle of the tour. We were able to pick up the second half of the tour on a subsequent sunny day. Highly recommend this tour!Written 30 May 2018
- petra-amalie0 contributionsDecent bikes at decent ratesNew Orleans is great to discover by bike, and the ones offered were in good shape, had lights and locks and were offered by a very friendly coupleWritten 5 May 2018
- dcohen4610 contributionsCharming Bike Rental in NOLARenting bikes at Art District Bikes added lots of charm to our trip to NOLA. My Bike was Huffy and had a basket with plastic flowers. At night the wheels had lights around the rims, the back and the rear. I received numerous compliments on my "cool" bike. It was extremely comfortable and we rode it to and from Jazz Fest with no problem. We shopped and the baskets were large to fit provisions and wine. The owners are very nice and were patient with me until I selected the perfect bike. We would definitely rent from them again.Written 3 May 2018
- CarolineNYC112380 contributionsLow-cost, low-fuss bike rentalNice people operating in a slightly difficult-to-find yard under the highway. Bikes are $20 a day and they will take returns as late as 9. I have rented bikes from other New Orleans shops and their rate is significantly cheaper than other bike rentals, with more convenient return hours. Note that these bikes are not in the best shape as compared to the more expensive places and your rental options will likely be limited to single-speed cruisers with backpedal brakes. I had no issues with my bike and would definitely return next time I'm in nola!Written 26 April 2018
- Greeneyedgirl3730 contributionsCan't beat the price!Okay, so go in with your expectations in check! We rented 4 biked for $80, which was at least half the price of the other places we checked. The biked were in good working order and came with baskets and locks. However. The bikes were satisfactory. The helmets were NOT. They were filthy. My daughter's hair had dirt from the unclean helmet. We saw many other bikes in the area, which were very clean and new looking...if this is important to you, you should go elsewhere. For the price we paid we did not complain. Nice people run this place and we would return knowing what to expect!Written 1 April 2018
- Bill H0 contributionsGood DealNice family business. I rented a 7 speed cruiser to ride on the Levee trail. Not the newest bike but in good condition and functioned well over the 25 miles I rode each day for two days. I usually prefer a faster bike but was happy to have big tires in New Orleans due to the many roughly paved streets.Written 4 March 2018
- Nadene M0 contributionsGreat time Great dealEric was so great about giving tips and even history, follow his instructions in, and call when you get there. He has a giant historic home tucked behind those ivy vined gates. Super nice guy!Written 16 July 2017
- Carrie Anne d0 contributionsJazzFest WeekendWe had a very difficult time finding the business as it is hidden behind a large gate with vines growing all over it - I felt like I was walking into a scary movie. The bikes that we reserved were very old and beaten up - the pedal even fell off of one of them while riding! However, the people were VERY NICE!!! They promptly responded to all phone calls and text messages. And even cut a fair rate deal when we returned the bikes 2 days early when realizing we weren't cut out to ride bikes in NOLA traffic.Written 21 June 2017
- NYReliable0 contributionsYou need to rent a bike in New OrleansYou need to rent a bike in New Orleans. It opens up the city. It's much better than a bus tour. That's much better than just walking around the French quarter. We rented these bikes for $25-$30. They were not fantastic but they were comfortable. We were able to ride them all over the city and lock them wherever we wanted. Rental was a full day as well- gave flexibility to do what we wanted. Pickup location is good launching point to go to Magazine Street and tulane.Written 20 April 2017
- kahalloran0 contributionsMy go to for bikes in New OrleansBy far the best price, best service and nicest owner of a bike shop in New Orleans, This is my 5th year renting here and more than satisfied. Last year, we had a flat and owner drove out to us to swap out wheel. This year, we had to return early and she was very accommodating. If staying in CBD, use this place to rent a bike.Written 18 April 2017
- ChiTrippers0 contributionsGreat rentals, but be aware...We highly recommend this place, but there are a couple of things you should be aware of before renting. First, the selection of "usable" bike helmets was not very good. This may have just been the timing of when we were there, but it may be typical, not sure. We always wear bike helmets so our kids were in shock that we went without--luckily we found 2 for our kids after some careful searching. If you don't have kids with you, or if you don't wear a helmet, this place will be perfect for you. However, as a parent, I know other parents will appreciate knowing this beforehand. Second, check your front and back lights before leaving. We didn't realize that we only had 1 bike with a back light until after the sun set. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating, so I know they would have fixed this had we noticed before leaving in the morning. All our bikes had fun, decorative tire lighting which our kids thought were awesome (of course, this doesn't help cars see you when they are behind you on the street, but cool nonetheless!) Beyond these issues, the owners were very nice and gave us lots of great information like where to go, food stops, etc. Note that when we were there, all the bikes were single speed cruisers, if you want geared bikes, ask if they carry them before going in. This is a "mom and pop" shop, which is why they probably have the best rates in town. They are not in a shop, but a quaint area that will make you feel like you stepped into the European countryside. Incredibly nice and helpful owners. We rented the bikes for a day and a half and it definitely was a great way for us and our kids to see the city!Written 31 March 2017
- itwasfunwhileitlaste0 contributionsBest way to see New Orleans. Friendly, flexible, great bike.New Orleans is super flat and the weather is great so we decided to rent bikes for Mardi Gras rather than deal with traffic, fight for parking, and pay for the pleasure of each. It was the most fun thing we did. Arts District Bike Rental was terrific, flexible, friendly, and allowed us to return them at a time that really convenient (and late--they must not sleep). The bikes were sturdy and comfortable and LIT UP at night which was fun and safe. We rode to the Audubon Park (meh), City Park (okay with a cool sculpture garden), and all over the French Quarter and Jackson Square. I definitely recommend it!Written 17 March 2017
- JohnPickering0 contributionsGreat bikes and service. Tricky to find.Great place to rent bikes, especially if you're staying in the warehouse district. Super prices with friendly, helpful service. We followed her advice and had a great day riding around town. New Orleans seems pretty bike-friendly, btw, if you're concerned about that: lots of bike lanes, it's flat, and cars give you room. Only caveat is that it's a little hard to find the shop, so bring your phone and call them if you're close but can't find the small entrance in the ivy-covered wall. It's unmarked.Written 29 December 2016

Scheduled a ride for my Girlfriend to take place 12/18/2020.
They send me a message on 12/16/2020 saying they will not open for less than 10 after they already gave me link to send to everyone who is participating which is 8 people. I tell him I will let those who participating to register before Friday. Its 11:50 12/18/2020 i received a text that the ride is canceled cause not enough registered. If it's 8 of us I would have easily just paid for the OTHER two spots.
My Girlfriend is from Maryland this her first birthday away from her family and friends so I was trying to do something she enjoys with her son and my friends.
Now its last minute I have to put together an event for her to enjoy her birthday in a new city.
I feel they could have stated minimum amount of riders needed for registration on first contact.
I was recommended by family members but I could have just stuck to Ridenola bike tour.
Search around and make sure they disclose anything that may cancel your tour..
Spend my money else where there is several other bike tours in New Orleans

You can't have your cake and eat it too.
When you made a reservation, you requested 15 bikes. At that time, I provided you with a free registration website so your group could register. This is free, and payment is not required.
For 2 weeks, no one registered for the ride. As the date was approaching, I informed you that we will require a minimum of 10 people to operate the ride. You told me people would register.
The day before the reservation, still only 4 people had registered. I asked you again, and you told me again people would register.
Note that you haven't paid anything, nor put a deposit for the ride. Registration is free and doesn't require payment.
Eventually, I had to cancel the reservation for lack of participants.

It says admission to the WWII museum is included in the party bike ride. Is that for access during the ride or can we go in the museum before the ride w/ our ticket? Wondering because I'd like to explore the museum.
