No notice of venue closure!!
We got there and there was a sign on the door stating they were closed due to damage from hurricane. I totally understand that but obviously they had my info and could have called me to let us know. We paid $20 for 5 min of parking. I called both numbers on the link and no answer, as well as emailing. I paid $130 for literally nothing. I will update if a refund is offered.

Closed without notice wasted time and money.
Closed due to Hurricane Ida damage. Never got a notice. Card charged, money for a cab to and from, and time wasted. Very disappointed no notice.

Needs a guide!
Aug. 2021 • Solo
Because of Covid there was no guide for the tour. Just a video and a walk through the warehouse of previous year’s Mardi Gras props. These were interesting but needed context from a guide. Again, because of Covid, the shuttle service to the site abbreviated. Definitely use the shuttle because getting there is rather confusing. Very few people there. Wait until the pandemic eases and then give the tour a try.

Mardi Gras World
This is a great activity on a rainy or sunny day in New Orleans. It's where all the floats and characters are made for Mardi Gras! There's a little gift shop and also a 15 minute film explaining the history of it all. Then, you walk thru the warehouse on a self guided tour and look at all the characters and floats made. It's unbelievable the artistry on display. The whole thing only takes about an hour but I think it's worth it. Children and adults will both enjoy!

Cool behind-the-scenes
Jul. 2021
Cool high level history of Mardi Gras, especially for younger people who may not be aware of it. Enjoyed the behind the scenes portion, but it might be time to update your video presentation to include a local artist more current than Better Than Ezra.

Interesting Place!
The video was enjoyable and informative! That was the only “guided” part! The rest was on your own! The construction and building of the float demo was good! You get beads and Kings Cake!

Good For a Rainy Day
Jul. 2021 • Couples
Good A/C. Tour starts with a 15 minute video. Self guided tour. No a/c during the tour. It’s an outdoor warehouse. The content is cool. The organization lacks.
We tried calling for shuttle service at 9 o’clock in the morning. They told us to call back when we were ready and standing in front of the pick up location. The driver deliver us at 12:28 for a 12.30 tour. We we told we had to wait for the 1:30 tour. The place was empty. They greet you with King Cake which was very nice and fresh. The attendants need to be trained on keeping the place presentable and clean. We waited for close to an hour for the return shuttle. If you’re on tight schedule, you may want to rethink this activity.

Just Barely Worth It
Jul. 2021 • Couples
Free shuttle was good. More chairs are needed to rest. Air conditioning is needed in the main warehouse. Price should be $10, not $17.

One time deal
Jul. 2021
The movie at the start of the self-guided tour was the best part - plenty of background information.

Once over, the tour is a walk thru the warehouse at your own pace. Not too much information is available and didn't see any artists at work.

King cake was fresh....

Not at all impressed with the driver of the shuttle - took on too many passengers and did not have seating.
