Overview
Steamboats played a major role in the 19th century on the Mississippi River, and this tour offers a whole evening of New Orleans fun aboard a paddle-wheel steamboat. Enjoy unique views of the city without having to deal with crowded streets, and save time and money by combining a cruise with a night of live jazz and Creole-style dinner (if option selected).
What to Expect
Your cruise takes off from the docks near Toulouse Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Board your ship up to an hour before your departure time. The paddle-wheel steamboat, Steamboat Natchez, is one of the last of its kind in the area.

Once out on the Mississippi River, relax on the outdoor deck or inside in the cabin, and take in views of the city in the distance. As you float down the river, enjoy jazz music performed by the Grammy-nominated Dukes of Dixieland.

If you’ve upgraded your cruise ticket to include dinner, pile your plate full of Creole-style food from the buffet table. The bread pudding is a popular dessert choice.

Your cruise ends back in the French Quarter. If you’re looking for something to do afterward, there’s a booming nightlife scene nearby.

Great way to spend an evening

Although it was a little chilly, we had a great time. Pretty good buffet with good sampling of local cuisine and something for everyone. What a treat it was to witness a marriage proposal at the next table. Before purchasing tickets, you should be aware...More

Cruise marred by rude waitress in dining room

We did this cruise in September this year. The cruise itself was quite good with good music from the onboard band. Unfortunately it was marred by a rude waitress in the dining room who started to clear our table and remove the cutlery before we...More

Lovely

We just had to do this as I wanted to actually go on a paddle boat on the Mississippi. A lovely experience and the supper was a good and plentiful buffet, even with food suitable for a non meat eater. Lovely jazz music.

We did it during Halloween and we loved it. I would say if it’s anything like what we had it is well worth it. The food was great and honestly we liked listening to the music and having drinks on deck

Maybe they are full up? Try going to the office by the boat. It was almost full when we went on a Sunday.
