Weekend
Dec. 2019 • Friends
The museum was very well thought out and put together. We only had about 2 hrs before we had to leave to catch a flight. Should probably count on 3 hrs to see everything. Buy tickets ahead or from machine on the side of the building. Weekends are very busy. Will go again for sure there is so much to take in.

Disgusting customer service
Approached Grayline office located between 47th and 48th ave as per our pre paid voucher instructions, we asked if we could exchange our GRAYLINE voucher for this tour (observatory and 9/11) the two employees then told myself and my partner that “they do that at the observatory” we double checked this information twice and they insisted the voucher can be exchanged at the observatory. We agreed to do this reluctantly. After a 40 minute uber ride to the observatory from our hotel and $33 later , we are told by the observatory we cannot exchange these vouchers here and need to go to Grayline, however we pointed out that this was not accessible from the current location for us - advised to ring Grayline we do this and wait on hold for about 7 minutes, only to be greeted with a typical tour bad attitude and told “there is nothing we can do” despite THEIR staff providing this info- they refused to accept the booking code and email tickets for us then and there, after being put through to the “manager” she was no help, thank god for the beautiful staff at the observatory who sorted us out for the day but Grayline were hopeless and did not care about their customers or customers experience. Disgusting and would never book with them again, also told for a refund “I need to follow this up” they take no responsibility. Stay away - not to mention their staff that harass you on the street trying too hard to book tours and hand out flyers!!! Embarrassing. Never again!

Downtown Tour
Jan. 2019 • Couples
Love the concept of the Gray Line Tour and you really get to see New York. We did a total of 6 rides over 3 days all downtown except for one to Brooklyn. A guide called called Dean on 3 of the Downtown tours was excellent as was the chap who covered the Brooklyn tour, both were very informative, friendly and entertaining.
Unfortunately the same could not be said for the guide we had on the other two downtown rides. We don’t know the name of the guide except he was Chinese, his commentary was abysmal and there were long periods when he said nothing. On both trips we wanted to get off the bus at the Rockefeller Centre but he made us get off on 8th Avenue by Times Square on both occasions saying it was only a 5 minute walk to the Rockefeller Centre. The annoying thing is we actually saw other Gray Line tour buses on 49th St at the Rockefeller fully operational. We understand tipping is a way of life in the US and we do so willingly for good service, there was a box by the driver where people leaving the bus could leave their tips. Not good enough for this guy, he approached every single passenger on both decks of the bus shaking a plastic bag cajoling them for money. The lady in the seat behind said she had no change to which he replied he had plenty of change. We do bus tours whenever we visit a foreign city and we always enjoy them but I’m afraid this particular man was nothing more than a professional beggar and scam artist and does nothing for the Gray Line image. Not being vindictive we still believe the Gray Line Tour is good value and on that basis marked it very good but if I ever step on a Gray Line bus again where he is the guide I would step right off immediately
