Overview
Hear the stories of September 11, 2001 — by those who were there – at the 9/11 Tribute Museum in New York City. Located in the World Trade Center section of Manhattan, the center brings together those who want to learn about 9/11 with those who experienced it — survivors, first responders and rescue workers, civilian volunteers and community residents. Explore the exhibits and galleries and take a unique walking tour of the 9/11 Memorial, led by a 9/11 Tribute Center guide.
What to Expect
The 9/11 Tribute Museum is a project of the September 11th Families Association which brings together those who want to learn about 9/11 with those who experienced it. The 9/11 Tribute Museum invites visitors to share personal stories of the 9/11 community: family members who lost loved ones, survivors, first responders and rescue workers, civilian volunteers, and community residents whose healing is a testament to the perseverance of the human spirit.

The 9/11 Tribute Museum allows the public to personally pay tribute to 9/11 through compelling and powerful exhibits, teacher and educational resources, and programs. We collect oral histories and visitor reflections on the effect September 11th has on our world.

Super commercial and quite fake

I walked into the museum with good expectations, yes there are the names of the victims in there, objects, pictures of the attacks, references to the media covering the attack, pieces of the towers, and then there's a store with merchandising which is something I...More

A true and well thought out memorial for the many who lost their lives.

I cannot fault this museum, a wonderfully thought through experience of the tragic events on 9/11. It took us 3 hours to walk around, there is no way to rush this museum, so much to see, read & listen to. It’s unfortunate we are living...More

Very moving and a good addition to the larger museum

Visited here after visiting the 9/11 memorial museum. Very different experience. This museum is much smaller but gives you another prospective into the tragedy of 9/11. Lots of small personal exhibits which move you to tears. Well worth a visit.
